the hotel dates back to 1928 all of the furnishings in the rooms date to this time we stayed in a room with a garden view very quaint I felt like I was back in time. Downstairs there is hot chocolate and fresh coffee 24/7 nice for a cold day. The breakfast was delicious you must try the apple pancakes...

The Inn was built in the 1920 so it is very "rustic". But that's a good thing! If you want the usual cookie cutter motel room, then find a motel chain. But you will have missed a great place. And the food is OUTSTANDING. Salad, soup, entree and dessert…….you must try the prime rib! the staff is friendly, making you...

the charm of this place is unbelievable, the food is to die for, the staff is so friendly and Punkin (the house cat) will sometimes meet you in the hallway. You can eat your supper by the fireplace in the dinning room (try the prime rib) and have a walk around the grounds or downtown afterwards. You will meet people...

My husband and I stayed there two nights. The rooms are clean and the food was excellent! Added bonus, punkin the cat stayed with us one night. The scenery is wonderful. The service too notch and the cost of the room includes both a full dinner plus breakfast.

My husband and I stayed at Fryemont for three days. We were in one of the more expensive accommodations… Suite 1 in the Stone Cottage Suites. The size of the apartment was good – very large living room, good size bedroom (although you had to duck near the bed because of the sloping roof) with a very dated bathroom. I...

If you are looking for a relaxing spot to kick back, but still close to hiking trails, rafting, zip lining through tall trees, biking, listening to Blue Grass music, or strolling through a genuine, small town, look no further. The Fryemont Inn in Bryson City, North Carolina, is conveniently located to all of the above, but away from the hustle...

My husband and I stayed at the Fryemont Inn 5 nights from September 25 to the 30th. Very reasonably priced and the rate includes breakfast and dinner for 2. Cannot beat that. We were a bit dissapointed on arrival because we thought it was a bit more remote than it actually is (within walking distance of the town of Bryson...

The smell of mold and mildew was overwhelming. The rooms were neat and clean but cheaply built of board and batten construction. The rugs probably are holding some of the mildew smell and should be replaced. I know that this is supposed to be a historic hotel but some things are just plain old, age does not always equal quality....

Let me start off by stating that this place was established in 1923. It's over 90 years old but it's been well kept. Rough sawn wood, bark siding, doors don't open and close smoothly, there are no elevators, it's not wheel chair friendly, I doubt there's a level floor in the place, no a/c in the main inn, the only...
