I'm going to second every review here that states that Folkestone Inn breakfasts are delicious! We stayed in the Lights and Shadows room which featured interacting antique photography equipment to look at, and a comfortable bed. Very quiet, tranquil area, but convenient to town and mountains. We were out and about during the day but were welcomed back each evening...

This was a repeat visit to the Folkestone for our 42nd wedding anniversary. Steve and Eva are outstanding hosts who show a very real interest in getting to know their customers. The Cork and Bean Bistro, recommended by Steve as a good place to have our anniversary dinner, was convenient and the service and food was great. Folkestone breakfasts remain...

The Folkstone Inn is a wonderful, older house set right next to the southeast of the Great Smokies. The accommodations were incredibly charming with porch seating for nearly every room. We were delighted with homemade breakfast every morning and truly wonderful hosts.

We loved this secluded spot just a few minutes from downtown Bryson City. The Inn is quaint and cozy with a front porch that just begs you to sit and unwind. Our hosts, Steve and Eva, made us feel so welcome. Eva's delicious and creative breakfasts were the highlight of each day! This was out first visit, and we look...

Convenient to great restaurants and interesting shops in Bryson City, walking trails and waterfalls in the Smoky Mountain National Forest, and rafting in the Nantahala Gorge. The Smoky Mountain Railroad runs from Bryson City to the beautiful scenery along the Nantahala. This place replenishes my soul.

Steve was very helpful over the phone and it was great to be able to arrive late in the evening. The Inn was warm and inviting and so was Steve. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and on time. We wouldn't hesitate on going back. Thanks, David and Wendy - Raleigh NC

Great location for visiting Smoky Mountain NP.... in a serene location away from the commercial craziness of Cherokee or Gatlinburg. Great hiking trails a mile from the inn. Beautiful property and garden, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and friendly helpful host. Would definitely recommend.
