We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the Bobcat cabin and it had everything we needed. We cooked all our meals and the kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots and pans for the three of us. Very close to the deep creek park where you can hike picnic and go tubing.

I thought the fire pits were a great touch. We enjoyed spending our nights by the fire. Our cabin was private and clean. I appreciated that it was stocked with plenty of hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap.

There is WiFi but it is not very strong, all the better to relax.

Lastly, we were able to go directly to our cabin when we arrived, didn’t have to check in at the office which I thought was great during a pandemic.

I hope we will be able to return again.

8 members of our family spent the week at The Eagle’s Nest cabin. This was our third week long vacation at Land’s Creek cabins. The Eagle’s Nest cabin was super clean and a well maintained and spacious cabin with lots of amenities. Joe, the owner of this cabin, is a super guy who is readily available to answer any questions about Land’s Creek or Bryson City to make a vacation in BC very enjoyable. He has very high standards in keeping his properties in tip top shape for his guests. Robin is also a really nice guy, always has a big smile and is ready to answer any questions to make our stay just right. I highly recommend Land’s Creek cabins for a enjoyable, relaxing vacation!

Our third time at Lands Creek, but the first in this cabin. Cozy for 2 adults and 2 kids, but it worked for us for a few days at Thanksgiving. Kitchen had plenty of supplies to prepare and heat food. There were even some unexpected amenities like foil, plastic wrap, and basic spices. The cabin was adorned with Christmas lights and a beautiful tree complete with a stuffed bear climbing up the side. Perfect holiday spirit. The cabin was very clean and had some toiletries and a hair dryer. Joe lives right next door and stopped to say hello and offer suggestions on places to visit. We took his advice and saw several of the waterfalls on the map he provided and made a stop at Barber Orchards Fruit Stand. The apples and pears are delicious and the the kids liked getting the treats from the bakery. The chickens and rabbits are also a fun extra for the kids to feed. We enjoyed the fire on the back porch and the hot tub out front. We may opt for a bit more privacy and space next time, but this was a very enjoyable visit. Definitely recommend for a couple or a family with one or two kids.

This is our second review Lands Creek Log Cabins as we stayed at the larger lodge approximately 10 years ago and we had a stellar time.

This was our first time staying at Eagles Nest cabin (During the Covid pandemic of 2020.

Our cabin had an amazing view of the Appalachian Mountains. The cabin has expansive decks on two levels. A very private hot tub with views. A master on the main level with deck access. A wonderfully stocked kitchen, good linens and towels, and multiple fireplaces inside and out.

We were leaving the urban panic in October 2020. Never did we imagine we would find THE perfect escape cabin.

The view was wonderful, but more important for us was how clean, Deep clean, that our well appointed cabin was upon arrival.

Absolutely all you need for a weekend getaway, a weeklong getaway, a month long getaway was provided in the cabin. The hosts are close by and respond to anything you might need. Although, we found everything was so thoughtfully placed and stocked we never had to ask for anything.

Close to Bryson City (4miles) and scenic drives and national park rec areas. The scenic train is a great excursion. The trout fishing museum is there too. The restaurants were just OK. But to be fair, and to be safe, we took take-a-way back to the cabin or cooked for ourselves. There are groceries nearby. A good butcher. Local craft beer.

And when this crazy year is over, we are going back to the local brewing houses and restaurants for a proper dining experience.

We are already planning our next visit there.
Hopefully we can go back enough to experience all four seasons.

Seriously, it’s that good.

Our family gathered for Christmas and had the best time. Both cabins were very clean, convenient, and comfortable. The decorated Christmas trees, Christmas music, Christmas towels, and Christmas lights waiting for us upon our arrival were a special touch. We packed many items which we never used during our stay because the cabins had plenty of linens, soap, blankets, kitchen necessities, grilling items, truly a well stocked home away from home. The owners were helpful and available when we had questions. If you want to be near the Smoky Mountain Railroad, ride the Polar Express, visit the Smoky Mountain National Park, and be in a quiet setting then you should absolutely stay in a Lands Creek cabin.

We've spent the last 3 years searching for the right mountain cabin to escape coastal beach life to. Hummingbird was the perfect getaway spot because it ended up being right in the middle of a huge natural playground, The smokies and the Blue Ridge mountains on either side made for easy destination picking.

Less than 1 hour from Fontana Dam, it's a beautiful drive through sparse mountain wilderness to the dam, and it quite the amazing place as well as the look outs along hwy 28 on the way. From there 45 more minutes gets you to the Tail of the Dragon, which is a stretch of rt. 129 that starts right at the tennessee boarder and has 318 curves over 11 miles. Photographers along the route make your family sedan look like a magazine commerical😁 and you can buy photos from the websites to prove it. If you keep going, you'll get to the tennessee foothills Parkway, which is quite the ride, photos attached. Not as high as the BRP, but equally as visually stunning and that takes you almost back to pigeon forge and gatlinburg.

We got lunch in pigeon forge at smokies cuban restaurant. Excellent cuban. Go get a cafe. From Gatlinburg, if you're still into high mountain driving, take 441 straight over the smokies across newfound gap and back into Cherokee, Nc. If you do take this loop, It will take all day, but you won't ever forget this drive and bring snacks. It's also a 15 minute drive from the southern entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, where it's about 100 miles of the highest stretches of the parkway and some of the most amazing views on the planet, to get to Asheville, where mount mitchell sits on the north side of, and is also quite the experience to go to the summit. Watch out for mountain turkeys.

We spent most of the time driving and exploring but that's how we find these places. You have to get lost to be found. The cabin, being the main stay was, right in the middle of this natural landscape. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day, and the out door fireplace was a favorite spot to sit and keep warm, after all it was March.

Mr. Joe was super Hospitable, gave us a full walk through on arrival and made sure we knew the ins and outs of hanging with the chickens and the rabbits near by the cabin. If it hadn't rained as much, we may have been able to go hang with them a little more. He also made sure we had everything to make it a home away from home.

Hummingbird will be a return trip for sure and probably some of the other cabins will get a visit from us for sure.

The house is beautiful and full of amenities. The owners were accommodating and even let us feed their chickens. Very clean and well kept. They had firewood already stacked for use and a hot tub ready to go. I would definently stay there again.

This beautiful cabin is equipped with everything you can possibly need! Just bring your food and you're all set. The owner is nearby, and was so helpful with information about the property and the area. Eagle's Nest is ten minutes to town, but quiet and secluded--the perfect spot for a getaway with family or friends. This is a very kid-friendly property, and even comes with chickens and bunnies to visit and feed! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Yes! That is right we have stayed here for 54 nights period this time at the Wolf Den which is just up the hill a little ways from where we have stayed most of our other nights that we've been here over the past 11 years. Lands Creek roaring past our cabin is almost mesmerizing period it is relaxing. This place is solitude period yes! It is a little bit of heaven. No! It is a lot of heaven. If you looking for a mall down the street or a Starbucks next door this is not your place. But you like to get away from it all. Check out. Although we are only 3 mi from the town of Bryson City, you would never know it. The whole time we were here this time an airplane or a helicopter never did fly over period you would think that you were 20 miles or 30 out in the boonies. We will be back again period We are continuing to celebrate rate our 50th wedding anniversary. So far this year. we have spent nine nights at Lands Creek cabins.com.

The area around Bryson City is beautiful, and the location of Lands Creek is great, lovely grounds and creek. Beyond that, several in our party were not pleased with the accommodations. It’s almost impossible to do any remote work, as internet is sketchy at best. The cabins had clean bathrooms with plenty of towels, beyond that, there were cobwebs, bugs, dirty windows, and an odd smell. The water pressure is terrible in the showers. Our ice maker didn’t work, and we never were given any firewood. Maybe we were supposed to get it ourselves? We paid a fee to bring two dogs with us, only the owner forgot, and on the second day, we got chewed out because we had one dog with us. He made us feel very uncomfortable and stated we had better “do right by him”. We feel like we were very disrespected, especially since these reservations were made 1.5 years ago and were very upfront about the fact that we were bringing our dogs with us. He refused to reimburse us the 100.00 for the one dog who had passed away. He stated that he wanted to inspect the cabin before we left. While it is understandable that he would be concerned about his property, hollering at us and our daughter was completely unprofessional and his behavior pretty much ruined the joy we felt and put a damper on our children’s wedding. This was the first vacation we’d had in several years, and the first time since COVID that we were able to go out of town, so it was a real letdown.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, I'd like to fill in the blanks for those reading. This wedding was rescheduled twice due to COVID, there were a lot of chances for things to be confused or misunderstood. The brides did a great job keeping this on track, as far as we could tell everything went as scheduled, we heard no complaints from other guest that I'm aware of. We border a vast wilderness, there can be bugs in our cabins as our guest often leave doors wide open, we do our best to control things, it's not always perfect but the effort is always genuine. We'll stand on our reputation... In my opinion based on over 20 years of being the owner operator of this business with years of great reviews and strong following...all of this has to do with their dog. Their seemed to be a gentle giant and a nice dog however he was about 150 pounds, I feel he is a Bull Mastiff. This is a breed with a large thick coat, lots of hair and is well known for shaking their head and throwing drool, he greeted me with that gesture and I watched it fly, just what a family owned business wants in their guest cabin. We typically do not allow pets but will make exceptions at times for a small, non-shedding crate trained. Full details at on our website for those who would care to look. I might mention that the crew who cuts the grass here felt not much effort was made to pick up what a 150 pound dog might leave behind. With regard to firewood our policy has always been this: we cut, split it, stack it and supply it, the guest only need to retrieve it. We have found that when the guest are involved in the process in any way we have smaller and maybe even fewer fires which is real important to us who border a potential wildfire area. Sorry for any misunderstandings and for my bewildered tone when I saw your pet and no travel crate. Other than that I feel we delivered everything asked for your their daughters wedding.
