My grandson and I traveled New Years Eve to ride the Polar Express. I booked on trip advisor with ease but did contact the hotel directly to make them aware I would be traveling with a dog. I am glad I did because the hotel has rooms specific for pets so be sure and contact them

We booked our room at the Microtel through the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad partnership with the Microtel, and I was amazed at the high level of professionalism at both facilities. A physical limitation makes carrying even light weights difficult for both me and my wife, while

Hello USNDave, thank you for your review. As anybody who reads these reviews can see, Matt is always there to help out and does an excellent job making sure our guests are comfortable and that all their needs are met to the best of our abilities. He'll be glad to hear what you had to say. We hope you enjoyed the train ride, we have had an outstanding relationship with the train since we started working with them and we definitely appreciate what they bring to Bryson City. They are certainly an asset in our small town, especially when it comes to keeping our local businesses thriving. We hope you'll return in the future for another getaway and if you do, we'd be delighted to have you back for another stay.

It's a clean property and the staff is very friendly. Matt, at the front desk, took such good care of us. He was very quick and helpful, and even gave us some good advice on best dining in the area. We will definitely be staying here when we return.

Is there a bus that takes customers to the Polar Express?
Hello 3 Spoons, To answer your question, no the hotel doesn't have a bus to take guests to the train station. However, here in Bryson City, NC we have a county transit bus that can take guest's to and from, costing only $1 to ride. Hope that helps! -Mike Microtel Inn & Suites, Bryson City, NC

Do you have smoking rooms? And how far is the hotel from the casino?
Nannette C, We are a non-smoking hotel but do have areas outside for smoking. Our establishment is located only 12 miles from the Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino.

I want to know if the rooms are small?
Not exactly boutique small but they aren't the size of a Hilton or double tree room. I'd call it average for the price point
