the room was excellent. the area was clean, fully stocked with toiletries and towels, They had a huge TV, mini fridge, and fully functioning air conditioners. The owner was so helpful with recommending local places to visit and it really added to our overall trip.

This is a wonderful motel for easy in and out access to Boone, Linville, Grandfather mountain, Ville Crucis, Foscoe, price lake, blue ridge and surrounding areas. My young family enjoyed 3 nights / 4 days in this wonderful locale. We especially enjoyed eating breakfast in the garden, watching the tiger swallowtails and bees busy at work. The room itself was...

The flowers, the birds, the mountains, the air--this place is simply paradise. The owners tend an amazing flower garden with plenty of places to sit and enjoy, not only the flowers and surrounding beauty, but also the butterflies and hummingbirds that sip their nectar. Boone, in and of itself, is a perfect vacation destination for nature lovers and this wonderful...

A couple retired to run an 8 room motel. He does woodworking and his creativity shows in the furnishings and trim work in the rooms. She does flowers and has a delightful garden full of colorful flowers all around. It's like going to Grandma's...so well appointed, comfortable and lots of little extras you just don't get for the $95 all...

We recently stayed to just "get away". We were set to stay only 2 nights, but decided to stay an additional night. Room was clean & comfortable. No special amenities, but fit the bill for relaxation. The owner was a pleasure to talk with and the garden on the property was simply beautiful. We would definitely visit again!

Older motel, very clean, flat screen TV with lots of channels to choose from, microwave and fridge in room. Good place to stay if you don't need fancy room, pool, exercise room, etc. Would stay again if we are in the area. Rates are very reasonable.

We recently spent three nights at the lovely hidden Valley motel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and remarkably well decorated in a country manner. The proprietors Jim and Maxine are extremely nice. Maxine's garden is worth the time. It's a great value too. Like another reviewer said I wish I could find a place like this everywhere we...

We were fortunate to be able to stay at the Hidden Valley Motel for a couple of nights in early May during a 3 weeks tour of the South. It is very refreshing to find a true motel nowadays: this is an outstanding example of the genre. The property, which is traditional in style, lies some way out of town...

I debated if I should give this a four or a five---it could go either way. It is very clean, very, very clean and a great value. It is a retro "mom and pop" that has two great hosts. The rooms are large for the price you pay. The only things that keep it from being a five are the...
