Nice older hotel with lots of charm. Food is very good and it has a neat lobby. Convient to town and plenty of parking. It is on the main road but was not too noisy. Staff was nice and helpful. We had our corgi dog and they charge $25 a night for pets.

The Green Park Inn was the perfect hotel for our weekend getaway in Blowing Rock. The 125 year old inn is absolutely beautiful and full of history. We loved the large front porch with rocking chairs, the beautiful lobby and library, and the history room where we could view photos of the inn over the years. Our room was located... More

As on previous visits, we enjoyed our stay greatly. We were in large and comfortable ground floor room which the hotel' radiators kept comfortable, quietly. The breakfast were a real treat. And the staff make a real effort to offer suggestions to improve our stay. One hundred and twenty-five year old hotels do have their quirks but those at the... More

We spent an awesome weekend at this great inn. The Inn was built in the late 1800s so there are beautiful architectural features throughout. It appears the Inn has been renovated recently. The best part of our stay was the jazz piano player, Charlie. What a treat to hear him. He only appears on Friday and Saturday evenings. Breakfast buffet... More

We loved the Inn. Loved the old time charm. The room was huge. The view from the balcony was wonderful. Loved watching the golfers from our balcony. The breakfast was good, with very several choices. Our favorite was the nightly piano player. He was so talented. It brought us back in time. The staff was very helpful. Would definitely go... More

No views of the mountains but I knew that before arriving. The hotel has a lots of character. The people are easy going and the food at the restaurant was the best we had while in Blowing Rock. Most of it has been remodeled but its still a 120 years old hotel. If your looking for somewhere that ever thing... More

Beautiful old hotel, but in need of some TLC. Staff was very friendly, but far too few of them. Can't do a good job if not enough people. Great potential in a beautiful location. Hate to see this go to waste.

We had a suite and it was beautifully appointed, and the most pleasant and conveniently laid out bathroom that I as a woman have ever seen in a hotel or inn. The combination of attractive period piece and modern convenience was perfect. The staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was ok, the spinach omelet was wonderful but the grits, meh. We... More

I give 4 stars for the charming exterior and lobby and 2 stars for accommodations, which averages out to 3 stars. Breakfast was good, and if you like inadequate lighting, small bathrooms and old wallpaper, this is your place. If you want updates such as adequate lighting, electrical outlets and security, go to a modern motel in Boone.

Checked in for a few days in July and immediately felt the gracious southern charm of this historic 19th c. Inn. The new owners are doing are doing a fine job of restoring the impressive wooden structure, bringing it back to its glory days.
