Nice entry view once you get past the 2, now 7 year, road construction. Quaint renovated historic hotel. Pleasant staff and Paulie greeting, dog to our pup! Clean room with nice parkway view on large porch. Small TV screen but who vacations to watch tv? Looking forward to trying out the hotel Divide Tavern, for dining. Tomorrow into blowing rock...

This place is on a busy street but we didn't hear much for road noise except during the day, when the construction was active. The hotel is clean and quaint. They had tea and coffee available for us. The best part is that you are across the street from Blowing Rock.

We stayed for one night, a Saturday. Upon arrival we were immediately charmed by the gentleman playing piano in the lobby. After changing for dinner, we enjoyed a peaceful glass of wine lounging in the lobby listening to his music. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious and surprisingly inexpensive. Our room was a "superior king" with a balcony which...

A co-worker recommended this 126 year old inn to us and we loved it. My husband and I stayed one night, in a junior sweet. The room was clean, quiet, had a sitting area, a walk in closet and most important, the bed was extremely comfortable. Full breakfast (order off of a menu) was included. The young man at the...

No Ghosts, just a lovely historic inn! We stayed two nights in a huge room with a comfy bed. We had the complimentary breakfast both mornings and the food was good, coffee not so much. The second evening we also had dinner and it was great. Service was great that night, too. We loved relaxing and listening to Charlie serenade...

As others have said, a real mixed bag. On the good side, the front areas inside are gorgeous, the restaurant is quaint with good breakfast food, the hotel has a nice character to it and the rooms are spacious and clean if dated. The small of Cedar is perhaps not common these days, but I thought it was sort of...

There's something to be said for an inn with this kind of history, and I appreciate the preservation efforts. Overall, it does have an OLD feel (including a quirky, jerky elevator and long hallways that make you think, "REDRUM!") and yet still provides modern amenities. But it's kind of a mixed bag. Let me start with what's good: • The...

The hotel has some great character and is wonderful to walk around and see all the details and touches. However, we drove up and there was no where to park, not a single spot some people were parked on the busy highway out front. The bellman said "When this happens people just have to find somewhere on the grass" So...

Booked blind, but chose because of location and it looked interesting. Was not disappointed. The staff is superb. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The property is 126 years old so it lacks some modern amenities, but it makes up for that with charm. We were very pleased. Was a combination business/personal trip. Absolutely will go back. Highly recommend.

This hotel is OLD. It is amazingly beautiful, the front desk staff were friendly and informative. The rooms (our group had 4) were each decorated differently. The husband and I had a King room with a separate sitting room, another couple had a King room that was long and narrow; two single women and two single men were in double...

Thank you for reviewing! The rooms are all decorated differently, and there is a lot of character in each one. I'm so glad you enjoyed the robes in your room and your breakfast in the morning! We'd love to have you another time!
