We traveled to North Carolina for a couples leisure weekend. We stayed 4 nights in 4 different hotels. I thought it would be fun to compare hotels. Here is rating: #1 - Hampton at Belmont $145 Very Clean, Comfortable, Friendly, Great breakfast #2 - Meadowbrook Inn Blowing Rock $286 Nice room but older - no outlets - I had to...

As others have said, a real mixed bag. On the good side, the front areas inside are gorgeous, the restaurant is quaint with good breakfast food, the hotel has a nice character to it and the rooms are spacious and clean if dated. The small of Cedar is perhaps not common these days, but I thought it was sort of...

There's something to be said for an inn with this kind of history, and I appreciate the preservation efforts. Overall, it does have an OLD feel (including a quirky, jerky elevator and long hallways that make you think, "REDRUM!") and yet still provides modern amenities. But it's kind of a mixed bag. Let me start with what's good: • The...

The hotel has some great character and is wonderful to walk around and see all the details and touches. However, we drove up and there was no where to park, not a single spot some people were parked on the busy highway out front. The bellman said "When this happens people just have to find somewhere on the grass" So...

Booked blind, but chose because of location and it looked interesting. Was not disappointed. The staff is superb. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The property is 126 years old so it lacks some modern amenities, but it makes up for that with charm. We were very pleased. Was a combination business/personal trip. Absolutely will go back. Highly recommend.

This hotel is OLD. It is amazingly beautiful, the front desk staff were friendly and informative. The rooms (our group had 4) were each decorated differently. The husband and I had a King room with a separate sitting room, another couple had a King room that was long and narrow; two single women and two single men were in double...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Park Inn! The staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a relaxing evening at the Divide Tavern and the complementary breakfast was absolutely the best. We can't wait until our next visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the piano player in the lobby. You can grab a drink in the tavern and go sit and be entertained. The food was excellent and the rooms were nice. We hope to return one day.

We were very impressed with the ambiance of the Green Park Inn. We were able to stay for a very low price-much lower than the chain hotels in Blowing Rock. The hotel is very charming, and the bar food served in the tavern was delicious! Our complimentary breakfast the next morning was also very delicious. One complaint that we have,...

Thank you for reviewing! I’m glad you enjoyed our hotel, and dining in our tavern. The weekend you visited was unusually active with guests excited about New Year's Eve, children staying up later, and pets more stirred up with all the activity around the hotel. We do limit the number of pets allowed in the hotel at any one time,...

We went for a family ski vacation over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Beautiful décor in the lobby and restaurant with an excellent breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. The bathroom was smaller than most of the chain hotels, but this was expected with staying...
