The Inn at Ragged Gardens certainly has gardens, but they are lush, lovely and riotous rather than ragged. This pretty old inn with its collection of rooms, suites and cottages is our favorite place to stay in the resort village of Blowing Rock, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Inn is right downtown, a half-block from the village park...

We stayed here during our three week tour of the area. Blowing Rock is a gorgeous little town, beautifully kept with quaint little shops. The Inn is the perfect place to stay to explore the town and surrounding area. We stayed in the Tree House style room. It was quirky and beautiful! Breakfasts were cooked to order. There was afternoon...

We had two nights at the Inn after some hiking in western North Carolina. The Inn is located approx. one block off the main street and easily accessible to the restaurants and shops of downtown. We stayed in Monet's Garden room which was on the second floor and had a large deck/balcony. The king bed was very comfortable and the...

This was my third trip to the Inn, but over the course of 20+ years, and I've been there through three different owners. It is certainly a very different experience than it was when I first went. The Inn has less of a bed and breakfast feeling and more of a larger and impersonal Inn now. The staff was friendly...

Recently my wife and I spent four nights at the inn. First I want to compliment the inn staff ..... from the front desk to the restaurant our experience was exceptional. They were all engaging and took pride in their roles. Props to the breakfast offering. Be sure to check out chef Marty's soon to be famous grits. Even if...

If you like nicely renovated old inns, you will really like this. Beautiful gardens around the large property. Rooms are nice sized, our had a great balcony for afternoon coffee and reading breaks (don't think all have balconies). Half a block to town center and park. Review may be a little biased because I had a great 60th birthday here...

We happened to see on Face Book a friend's recommendation of The Inn at Ragged Gardens so we decide to give it a try and are we glad we did! We stayed in the "Tree House" room which was on the 3rd...

My DH and I love this Inn. It's beautiful and very private. Good is great and we love happy hour on the porch. Very relaxing and comfortable. We have given gift certificates to friends many times. They are awesome to work with and are flexible when plans have to change. This is our GO TO place for a relaxing mini...

We enjoyed a beautiful dinner with another couple. Was not crowded. Nice quiet dinner. Service was great. All of our entree's were perfect. No seasoning needed. Trout was great. My wife had they scallops and they were huge and perfectly cooked. Duck in cranberry sauce was also excellent. Couldn't have imagined a more perfect dinner.

My husband and I spent two wonderful nights at this lovely historic Inn. The restaurant is SUPERB. We were so pleased with the food and wine our first night that we ate there our second evening. The full breakfast (included in the price of the room) is delicious and it was a treat to have wine and nibbles in the...
