Cute little bnb right in town. Good location and room for the price. I really enjoyed the pancakes and eggs for breakfast. I always forget to check when booking the smaller places but its a shared bathroom (which was very clean) for the 3 rooms.
We were looking for an affordable place to stay for a family gathering near Hunter Mountain. Didnt want to spend that much as much of the day would be spent away from our lodging. Antique Rose fit the bill perfectly. The Inn was cozy, the rooms well decorated and the bed was very comfy with an assortment of pillows! Not to mentions Laureen's delicious breakfast! Would definitely stay here again. So lucky to come across this gem!
My son and I decided on staying at the Antique Rose the night before mountain biking Windham mountain. Laureen was always welcoming and a pleasure to stay with. Breakfast was perfect on our way out the next day. The bedroom was very neat and comfortable. The bathroom although shared, really wasn't a big deal with only 3 rooms upstairs. Wish I had more time to relax on the porch but next time for sure! Great place and so close to the mountain! Thx again, Darren and Kyle
My wife and I enjoyed a 2 night mid-week stay at this lovely victorian in the heart of the Catskills. We had the second floor king room with plenty of room a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Lots of windows and plenty of light made this a very comfortable retreat. Breakfast was served on the front porch under a pretty gazebo roof. We had our choice of foods and drink and wonderful conversation with our host. We were able to discover much local color and history in these talks. The only issue that surprised us is that the three upstairs rooms all share one bathroom. Otherwise our short stay was all we could ask for.
This lovingly tended Queen Anne Victorian home is a must-see for anyone who loves period woodwork and stained glass. I was blown away by my hostess's enthusiasm and passion for her home, and delighted to spend a night there. The shared bathroom was no problem, especially since my room had its own sink. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the blueberry pancakes, and was tailored to both my tastes and my wake-up time. Breakfast on the sunny porch was relaxing and pleasant.
We stayed at the inn for one night, while skiing at Windham. The location is 2 miles from the resort and easily accesses from the highway. The inn itself is a small but beautiful building, and well maintained. You can tell that a lot if effort went into the decor of each room. The wooden floor and furniture style add to the 'Antique' effect. The hostess is very friendly and great for advice on local activities. She was also accommodating with breakfast hours (given we had to leave early the next day). Rooms are cozy with sufficient space (better than most B&Bs). There's a sink/mirror in each room, and all have a large shared bathroom. The two queen+single rooms are adjacent so a little noise creeps in through the wall, but we had no trouble with that. The inn only has 3 rooms so likely to sell out fast in Dec-March weekends. Breakfast was french toast, eggs, OJ and coffee for us (you can talk to the hostess on your preferences). It was delicious! One issue is the lack of mobile network coverage in the area, but there is a decent WiFi connection at the inn, so it shouldn't be a big deal. Also they offer room + discounted lift tickets which we found out later (they are a better deal than purchasing them in person at the resort), so would be a good idea to call the hotel in advance before booking the room. Overall this is great value for money if you are a party of 2-3 and skiing at Windham (~$140 nightly, might be less if you call and reserve). Considering location, comfort and the service, I would rate it among the nicest B&B's I have stayed at.…
We recently stayed at this B&B for a couple of nights, and liked our experience overall. The host was very friendly, and she gave us plenty of advice about the area and places to eat. The rooms and the rest of the house are very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. WiFi worked great, but keep in mind that you may not have cell phone signal at the house or in the general area. WiFi calling (if your phone is capable of it) helped to get around that. The bathroom is shared (which is properly disclosed in the description), and although 2 of the 3 rooms have sinks inside the room, bear in mind that you may need to wait for the bathroom/shower for a while, since there could be 6-7 people staying at the house. The free breakfast consisted of eggs, tea or coffee, orange juice, and pancakes or French toast.…
We went up to Windham as we had a ticket to the New York Tap Fest in Hunter Mountain on April 29th, 2017. We purchased the tickets that Tuesday for the Saturday event so I looked for the closest available place to stay and found Antique Rose; we are glad we did. Laureen, the owner, was very nice, we had a nice room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious as well - I highly recommend it. A nice B & B with a little bit of history to it. I would go back again !
Host very helpful and gracious. Room had excellent bed and linens, beautiful views of the countryside. Great location to explore the Windham/Hensonville area. Close to everything in northern Catskill area. Full breakfast at whatever time we wanted, and plenty of good coffee.
Had a warm welcome considering I checked in around 11 p.m. Slept in a comfortable bed and felt well rested in the morning. Truly enjoyed meeting other guests as we sat outside and had a lovely breakfast. Plan on going back in the Spring and will stay at the Antique Rose Inn.
