My fiancé and I take an annual off season trip every year. The Inn in Westport was amazing. We were, of course, the only people there. But Alex and Anthony were amazing! They were helpful, attentive and gave us a lot of info about the local area and things to do. Typically our off season trips we spend most of...

My husband and I stayed in the Proust room for one night. It's a nice room with a view of the park across the street and the lake beyond. We took a walk over there in the evening to check out the shore. My husband also got up the next morning to watch the sun rise over the lake and...

Stayed at the Inn for 6 nights this year. This is the third time staying there in October and it has become an annual tradition. The Inn is immaculate with it's own heart and character. The furnishings and décor are perfectly suited to the Inn. The views of Lake Champlain are incredible. Be advised, if you do get a room...

We prefer inns to B&Bs and this was very nice. We enjoyed the common room for our evening wine and snack in front of the picture window. Light breakfast was a fine combo of items, nothing fancy. Stayed in the small Poe room where a double bed and small shower suited us fine for the price. Owner explained all amenities...

We stayed at the Inn one night in the William Shakespeare room. Lovely four poster bed with high ceiling room and view of Lake Champlain. Very clean and comfortable - there was a lot of traffic during our stay (noisy) and the window shade didn't block the morning light. We checked in early evening and were greeted by a gentleman...

A very nice place to stay for a few days. The room was uniquely decorated, comfortable, and quite large, and the attached bookstore was fantastic. Perhaps the best part, however, was the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner, who went out of the way to greet me and get me situated even though I was arriving later in the evening....

We had an absolutely lovely over-night stay in the Emily Dickinson Room at this charming Inn before dropping our son at nearby Camp Dudley. The Inn was clean and well-furnished. We enjoyed the literary theme and ambiance. There was a comfortable retro convertible bed in an alcove in the room for our son. And we had a view of the...

Two long time friends spent the weekend here recently, finding it a good choice with its location to local shops, restaurants, and beautiful homes. We appreciated the do it yourself aspect of breakfast with its healthy choices of cold cereals, oatmeal packages, yogurts, banana, hard boiled eggs, cheeses....The only downfall was lack of a microwave to reheat our coffee. This...

On our trek from Maryland to Quebec, we decided to stop over in Westport, NY. On the way, however, we had a small medical emergency and had to stop in Allentown PA at an express clinic (which are anything but express). So, we didn't get to the B&B until 9 pm and all of the restaurants in the area were...

Discovered this little piece of heaven when we needed accommodations over the holiday weekend. Our daughter was getting engaged! It was a surprise to her and her future husband wanted both sets of parents there to celebrate. Thank you Alexandra for all of your hospitality -such a beautiful inn! We'll definitely be back!!
