Thayer Hotel is beautifully restored, with the original gothic charm untouched, but very clean and modern where you need it to be. The shower had excellent pressure and the Gilchrist and Soames toiletries were lovely. The views of the Hudson and beyond were breathtaking, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. Eating a tasty breakfast downstairs amidst the...

We were there for a wedding of our family member. It's a stunning place with lots of legends. It was a pricey place but considering the season and the quality , it's well spent. The gym is also spacious with all kinds of equipment. Staff is friendly too. Good memories!!

My wife and I love staying at The Thayer Hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional. The hotel is highly maintained and always in immaculate condition. I proposed to my wife overlooking the Hudson River at The Thayer. We specially enjoy the General Patton's Tavern. The Bartender does an outstanding job putting us at ease and making my wife's...

Surprised my hubby for Valentine's @ theThayer. Our room was high up on five in a castle like fortress that overlooked the foggy waters and a giant moon peeped from time to time. The bed was covered in chocolates and Valentine favorite treats. Dinner was scrumptious and plentiful. Our stay included a never ending breakfast. Our room was spacious, elegant...

Although we arrived after dark, and left early the next morning before the sun came up for a West Point admissions visit, we loved our stay at The Thayer Hotel. I could sense walking where Eisenhower walked, where Patton walked. As a history aficionado, I couldn't have enjoyed my brief stay more! I highly recommend a visit to Patton's Tavern.

Our stay at the Thayer for a family wedding was magnificent. Our suite was clean and spacious. The staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel and restaurant areas were very helpful to us. Mary, who was with us at the rehearsal dinner, wedding and brunch on Sunday was magnificent: courteous and efficient. Thank you for a lovely weekend;...

I stayed at The Thayer both in November 2016 and again in December 2016. Both stays were very good. Views of the Hudson River were spectacular! Bell, front desk, housekeeping and F&B staff were all outstanding and very much engaged in attending guest's needs and adding to a hotel experience that will be especially appreciated by anyone who is a...

The Thayer Hotels location and views of West Point and the Hudson Valley are beautiful. The history of the hotel and the naming of each room for a distinguished USMA graduate illustartes the rich past in an engaging way. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. The brunch alone is worth the trip.

So we are here on an official visit with the Army football staff. This stay has been very nice. Room was clean for the numerous flow of people that stay here throughout each year. Normal wear considering the history of this hotel. As you wonder around the hotel there are so many historical photos and information, some are current and...
