After a morning on a boat trip I was ready for food! The chicken and bacon salad was very tasty, good size portion, friendly staff. My table was a bit rocky - my fault I'd moved it into the sun, the waitress realised and quickly replaced the wedge.

Attempted to have dinner at the hotel last night all set to order then told they had no gluten free pizza bases. Following this they had no chicken. Advised they could do a steak sandwich only to be told by the chef he is not willing to do it. I was then offered fish and salad as it doesn't require...

Went for dinner at this hotel for the first time in years, my has it changed, it is a well laid out area with inside being along the line of a traditional pub and the outdoor area set up for food and entertainment. The food selection here was excellent and at a good price, with a menu to cater for...

I have heard of the spiritually minded blessing their food prior to consumption. The second visit, I actually took a moment to let the senses be...

Went on Saturday night had to wait an hour and a half for an average dinner to arrive the couple next to us waited two hours. After an hour when I went to ask the chef how much longer it would be (we had two very hungry teenage boys) he told me to go away. Not impressed. All the other...

We visit Whitianga regularly as we have a holiday home there. We go to the Whitianga Hotel for a meal quite often. This is the first review I have done for there though. I am moved to do it now because The Whitianga Hotel thoroughly deserves a good review. The meals are always consistently good, great value and the service...
