Our family booked out Lonely Bay Lodge for the weekend to host our wedding in October 2016. Using it as our accommodation and wedding venue meant that our immediate family all got to stay together (sleeps 10) and was such a treat for everyone! We found the lodge ideal for our intimate wedding of 48 people. Our guests couldn’t get...

Lovely accommodation with separate space for all guests if required, in a lovely location from where we visited Cathedral Cove, Cooks Beach and Hot water beach. We would like to have stayed longer. There were great people looking after you - Particularly Kim who offered great advice and took such good care of us. Thank you

A perfect location for a couple of quiet days - close to some of the Coromandel peninsula highlights. First tip- put Cooks Beach into the GPS rather than Coromandel, and don't let the machine convince you otherwise. Or you will be in for a long drive on some windy roads(or a lengthy walk from the ferry). After the drive from...

The only criticism that I could possibly come up with was the sign at the entrance is a little difficult to spot. All the facilities needed, beautifully displayed and and looked after, a short walk to a lovely beach. Run by some of the nicest people we have met on our journey around New Zealand who clearly tailored advice to...

What an incredibly beautiful place, hidden away amongst the lush greenery and ocean bays. The rooms were overlooking the lonely bay ocean in the distance. The cleanliness and facilities available were as expected. The hospitality was outstanding, Jodi, our host was incredible, she went over and above our expectations to take care of us, including our personal safety during a...

The most tasteful and beautifully peaceful place to visit. Absolutely gorgeous building in lovely grounds overlooking the fabulous white Sands of Cooks Bay. Jodi and Kim make it special with every attention to detail - Jodi managed to set out the perfect breakfast on our balcony one sunny morning, coming up some side stairs, without waking us.

Firstly I must apologise to the hotel for waiting so long to leave a review, we actually visited in October 2015! We stayed one night in this wonderful hotel on the last night of our Australia/New Zealand tour. It sits in a lovely isolated spot near Lonely Bay. The views from the balconies are fantastic, lovely and tranquil. I booked...

We were met by Kym, who manages the property, with such kindhearted hospitality. She was so genuine and helpful with everything, including our kayaking to Cathedral Cove, and especially our departure from Whitianga. The house is very welcoming. The rooms are spacious, with the common areas being well appointed with vaulted ceilings. The breakfast is a gourmet delight! The walk...

We're thrilled we were able to offer you an upgraded room after your accommodate fell through in Whitianga. There are exceptional activities and hiking adventures close to the Lodge, the Kayaking to Cathedral Cove is a definite favourite. Go Vino is fabulous, especially being such a short walk. It was a real pleasure to meet you both, and thank you...

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and loved the house and Kym was fantastic, amazingly accommodating and great recommendations - the one thing I'd advise is to really be aware that the atrium room isn't private at all. Our travel agent advised us that it was a private atrium, but it's got glass doors right off the common...

Thank you for your review. Its unfortunate your agent wasn't more specific when confirming your accommodation at the Lodge. The information on the Atrium Suite is clear. Perhaps this was the last available room? We do have guests that feel the Atrium area is an extension of their suite. We're really happy you enjoyed your stay with us, as we...
