When the locals don’t eat here you know you should be asking yourself why!? Paid $39 for steak, (the sauce couldn’t disguise that old stale blood taste), I’m sure the stake was green. I can conclude it was left for dog scraps after 2 bites. The young lady serving us did here best. She was polite and nice. It was better sitting outside without the flies than inside. Listen I can’t recommend this place at all for food. Recommend - no Return again - no Staff - polite and earnest Fresh food - no

We arrived about an hour before the kitchen closed and was expecting to have an average meal...old chips etc. However this was definitely not the case. Both my husband and I throughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were really nice and there’s a lovely view from the dining room as well. Expectations were definitely exceeded. Thanks guys for a lovely night.

Ordered dinner to be told that the fryer was not working which meant about 75% of the menu was not available. My friend had to order a burger & asked for no tomato. The burger came out with tomato! Just as well she wasn’t allergic to tomato. I ordered garlic prawns with rice. Just as well there were plenty of prawns because the rice was like rubber. We had to go to the bar to order our drinks & we both asked for lemon, lime & bitters. What we got was lots of ice a drop of bitters & lemonade. If I had wanted lemonade I would have asked for one. Very disappointed. As we are staying here we wanted to do the right thing & support.

We knew it was cheap but after 2 weeks in country motels that while basic, were great, this was a horror show. So much so I somehow managed to extend a day in Margaret River ( everywhere booked out) dropped our keys after only 1 hour and fled. Can’t be bothered fir the money back either. The room was dusty, curtains thread bare with what looked like mould. The bathroom stained , broken tiles. The carpet is 1960 original. The furniture, well. Maybe police interviews took place. 2 plastic chairs and a wobbly table. The towels were clean. Sheets were too. But the bed. God only knows the state of the mattress. The fridge was dirty. No aircon ( but it was a hot day). There was a fan but the powerpoints plugged into I’m sure are bad. Open the wardrobe and the bible in there has dirty marks on it.( I’d rather not know why) Blanket barely folded. The mirror was chipped and rusted. People smoking and coughing outside. Bikies starting their bikes and drinking outside. The smell of smoke. The cleaners were yelling at each other that someone was sleeping in a room they were going to clean. Yes it’s cheap but I’d expect better. Maybe 1 refurb in 50 years. You’re best bet is to NOT stay here. Sleep in your car. Probably safer

Very run down and think the bed in our room has been there since the hotel was built. Bar staff was nice but went down hill after that. Limited menu and apparently fryers weren't in use so no chips but still had to pay full price. Then we saw the manager take a bowl of chips to their table in front of a packed paying restaurant. Also the managers don't like the staff burning too much wood but their seat was right next to the fire in the restaurant. Advised the manager that it was quite poor form to eat chips in front of paying customers and she advised they were "checking the quality" but they were no good???? Apparently we were meant to get extra salad because you couldn't get chips or pappadums, yep curry & rice with side salad is quite a nice mix. Pay a bit extra and stay somewhere else, we certainly won't stay again and won't recommend this place to anyone!
