Basically walked in for lunch and walked straight back out. They haven't spent a cent on this place or even washed the windows in 18 months since I last visited. Its a real shame because its the only pub in the area and in a great location. Just the same old locals sitting at the bar and the place completely dead. Pretty disappointing with the location, it should be way better.

We did not stay at the motel, but wanted to eat at the restaurant as there is not many other dining opportunities at Walpole. Sadly was shown the door as the restaurant did not have enough staff to serve two additional patrons. In a time of "hardship this restaurant did not attempt to accommodate tourists. Shame on you Walpole motel restaurant.

We ate in the restaurant tonight, 4 adults & 3 kids. Very friendly, fast & efficient service. Food was very tasty and value for money. 4 of us had the sticky date pudding for desert, was absolutely delish. Wouldn't hesitate to come again.

We enjoyed the ribs at the restaurant. It was busy but the service was great and the staff were happy. We extended our booking from 5 people to 9 at late notice but with a quick rearrange we were all seated. Everyone enjoyed their meal and then we watched the band in the bar, they were so much fun and it was a real community feel.

We didn’t stay there, we just went for dinner. I had read that the steak was good elsewhere so I was keen to give it a shot. Honestly, I paid $45 for a scotch fillet with chips and side salad. The side salad consisted of 2 slices of tomato, 2 slices of cucumber and a slice of red onion, no lettuce or anything. The steak was ordered medium rare and came out grey, very overdone and was actually flavourless. The other meals were average at best, the chips were off white, and the kids meal was actually served in a takeaway box in the restaurant. Also, the drinks need to be purchased yourself from the bar around the corner, as nothing can be ordered from the table. There’s better options in the area.

There was not one thing to like about our hotel room it was disgusting. The dirt was everywhere and so dirty we didnt even use the shower. The carpets had sticky stains and even threadbare in places. The whole room needed to be gutted. Internet non-existent. We complained about room but was told "our room was next to be refurbished" it was not fit for human use! We forfeited our second night and went home!

When the locals don’t eat here you know you should be asking yourself why!? Paid $39 for steak, (the sauce couldn’t disguise that old stale blood taste), I’m sure the stake was green. I can conclude it was left for dog scraps after 2 bites. The young lady serving us did here best. She was polite and nice. It was better sitting outside without the flies than inside. Listen I can’t recommend this place at all for food. Recommend - no Return again - no Staff - polite and earnest Fresh food - no

We arrived about an hour before the kitchen closed and was expecting to have an average meal...old chips etc. However this was definitely not the case. Both my husband and I throughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were really nice and there’s a lovely view from the dining room as well. Expectations were definitely exceeded. Thanks guys for a lovely night.

Ordered dinner to be told that the fryer was not working which meant about 75% of the menu was not available. My friend had to order a burger & asked for no tomato. The burger came out with tomato! Just as well she wasn’t allergic to tomato. I ordered garlic prawns with rice. Just as well there were plenty of prawns because the rice was like rubber. We had to go to the bar to order our drinks & we both asked for lemon, lime & bitters. What we got was lots of ice a drop of bitters & lemonade. If I had wanted lemonade I would have asked for one. Very disappointed. As we are staying here we wanted to do the right thing & support.
