Located on some of the best real estate on the island, languishes Hotel Rottnest - colloquially known as the "Quokka Arms". Whilst the bar and restaurant are "okay" - just, the rooms are NOT! Firstly the bar and restaurant - nice, open and modern. The outdoor area is fantastic and a truly magical spot to unwind and watch day trippers...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel, as it is only through constructive feedback that we can further improve our offerings. I was very pleased to hear that you did enjoy the look and feel of our Bar and Bistro, and that the food experience exceeded your expectations. We work very hard on our offering...

I would be embarrassed to show people to these rooms. The patio door frames are too big for the glass so the draft and rattle is constant. The floor was dirty. Cobwebs everywhere. Holes in the fly screens. Locks on the patio are not secure. WiFi was terrible. Courtyard looked like it had never been cleaned and it flooded due...

Dear Guest, I am extremely concerned in reading your review as is does not reflect the standard of room we strive to present, nor the type of feedback we are us to receiving. We take feedback very seriously and your commentary is alarming. I would appreciate you making contact with me on; gm@hotelrottnest.com.au so I can determine which room you...

We were lucky to get a beachfront room, there are only 4 out of a total of 18. Our room was large and comfortable, with good bed and seating, nice coffee machine, but it would have benefited from a more thorough clean (stained grouting, cobwebs in corners). The outside terrace is clearly never cleaned, so we borrowed a broom and...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our Bayside Accommodation. Please accept my sincere apologies that the hotel failed to present the balcony in an acceptable manner. While keeping the external balconies completely free from beach borne wind material can be challenging, finding cobwebs and poorly washed surfaces is not acceptable. Please do make contact with me,...

On a downward trend at the moment I reckon....except for prices of course. No pints (yep, trendy 'schooners' at pint prices) no doubles, menu less diverse, food quality mixed.....overall not as good as it has been the last couple of years....hopefully it'll turn around for next time we're there later this year. Also seemed to be less live music for...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to put your thoughts in writing. I felt we should as a hotel respond, as good pricing and entertainment are essential to our business model and the overall experience of guests visiting the hotel and island. I can also assure you that when the hotel decided to make the decision to change...

Our family had dinner at the pub on 2 separate occasions during January. The meals were a disgrace. Surely anyone with any sense can knock together a reasonable burger, but the 2 we had tasted as though they had sat on a warming shelf for a few hours. They were swimming in a beetroot and cheese sauce?! We also tried...

Dear Guest, The Team and I were very saddened to read your review of our food offering. The team are very careful in the planning of our summer menu and daily summer specials, as we recognise that this makes up an essential part of the Rottnest island experience. I can assure you, that given the size of our venue and...

We stayed for two nights in balcony room. The view was amazing but the balcony was not clean and furniture covered in cobwebs . The bathrrom had mould and rust on shower and toilet flush was broken. When we asked to have the iPod speakers repaired they took them but did not replace or tell us what they did with...

We recently held our staff Christmas party at Hotel Rottnest. We booked with Chris in Events Management and everything went just as planned. The food was nothing short of excellent, our drinks selection was great and the staff were most attentive to our guests. Then there is the view, best view in the world possibly. We always stop in here...

We were really disappointed by how little you get for your accommodation dollar at this property. For over $300 a night, we got a room that was a good size but very plain and basic. Hard towels and no beach towels. Very ordinary physical location at the back of the hotel. No included breakfast. We're not princesses, and actually often...

We visited Rottnest Island for the first time on Christmas Eve and stopped here for lunch. The staff were super helpful and the food was delicious! I had one of the best pizzas I've ever had! And of course, the setting is just perfect. Would 100% go back.
