Every year we come back for a visit here because it's the best place for accommodating our ever expanding group of families/couples/singles/dogs. This year we had the joy of staying at the Farmhouse. I really wish I took some photos because the layout is great. The bedrooms are along a long corridor at the rear of the house so perfect...

As this place becomes a regular stay- we may be seen as bais, so therefore in fairness to reviews this will be the last on this place.. The carriage was clean, well appointed and had all the things you need for making a meal, also fresh linen and towels. It was quite busy at this time of year but it...

Had an awesome time with friends and their families on the property. The kids got to be kids again running around between the cottages and rail carriages without a worry. Friends too their dogs and even the dogs were relaxed. The cows were wandering around, along with chooks and they had a feeding of the animals each morning. The carriages...

We stayed here for a long weekend with our German Shepherd puppy. Great place to stay with plenty of space and really quiet surrounded by trees and farm land. Carriage was clean and tidy with key pickup and drop off void of any human contact. The owners let you have your privacy and engage well if they see you. Considering...

Touring round WA, my wife and I were intending to pop into Dunsborough on the way through to the next stop. However, we liked the look of the place so much we decided to stop for a couple of nights. The tourist information office helpfully booked us into a rail carriage, and what a rewarding experience. Inside - all mod...

Took a three day weekend after the long weekend and travelled down to Dunsborough to get away from the city. Googled Dunsborough accommodation and came across Dunsborough Rail Carriages and Farm Cottages. The well signed, tree lined driveway led me to the office where I found a board out the front with my name and a key (I had booked...

We took the "luxury cottage" for our family. We didn't expect any luxury and so were not disappointed. However it was really spacious and quite well appointed. The only negative was the cleaning which was really not so well done, I had to clean the bath and bassin to get rid off the blue marks of, I imagine, the cleaning...

Management response:

Thanks for your feedback especially regarding the blue marks. We saw it in another unit and a thorough 'de-blue' has been carried out. It is from our water and requires specialised removal. It would be great to have you stay with us again.

The train carriages were very cool, something different from a standard chalet. Lots of friendly farm animals in a quiet setting. Owners are friendly and let you feed the animals at 9:30am. Great laid back atmosphere. We will be back.

Management response:

Hi and thank you so much for the positive feedback. We try to have a relaxing, stress-free atmosphere that provides clean, affordable accommodation, great for a getaway without being fancy. It will be great to see you again - the property varies so much through the seasons and is often very different.

Good place central for touring round but just off the beaten track. Carriages are rustic but have all you need, free range hens came to visit at breakfast time, nice touch! Animal feeding attracted the children. Nice place for children, fairly safe. Easy for parking. Only complaint was that they got confused with my booking.

Thank Tes W
Management response:

Hi Tess, Thank you for your review. Yes, there was some confusion with your check-out date due to a glitch in the booking system but we believe it did not cause any inconvenience, change to your accommodation or departure date, so we are glad you did enjoy your stay with us.

Spent two nights here and just loved it. Usually we stay in Margaret River but being closer to Dunsborough and Yallingup we found that there was so much more to do! This little place is perfect, very quite and very cosy. Bring the kids and the dogs!! You'll love this little gem!
