At Denmark Forest Retreat, we have five luxury self contained cottages fully equipped with all modern conveniences which include full size lounge, dining and kitchen area, all with separate bathrooms and toilets. The cottages have their own privacy. There is 13 acres of jarrah and redgum forest to view and walk through. With abundance of birds and kangaroos there is much to see, yet we are only 2kms from the town centre and minutes to Ocean Beach. There is a cycle way that adjoins the property. Denmark has much to offer with its scenic beauty, wineries and restaurants.

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful place. Four couples sharing … plenty of room to escape and read, or rest, sit outside enjoying the Forrest view, watch TV or gather around the dining huge table. The house was spotlessly clean, with every amenity you need plus a very well equipped kitchen. Inclusions … a rice maker, slow cooker, cafe press, saucepans, platters, bowls and loads of quality glasses. Bedding was wonderfully comfortable with warm bedding. Little extra touches like a torch , Tim Tams, tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, oil, hand wash and sanitizer, tablecloth and multiple kitchen utensils. Large fridge/freezer plus a bar fridge in the laundry, washing machine, air con, wood fire great size TV and comfy couches. This place is a hidden treasure we would all highly recommend Denmark Forrest Retreat. Melissa and Jadon were super hosts and very accommodating indeed.

We stayed here with friends and loved the quaint, well equipped cottage set in the beautiful forest. The cottage is like a home away from home with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break. The rooms had great antique furniture and the living room was very comfortable boasting a fire if needed. Each cottage is far enough away from other cottages so that you can enjoy the peaceful surrounds and feel like you are the only ones there. We enjoyed the local wineries, a trip into Albany as well as the beautiful surrounding beaches.

We stayed in the Driftwood cottage in late Feb 2022. Our family of two small children were joined by their grand parents for the stay. Jason met us upon arrival and was very helpful with up-to-date information on the local attractions and businesses.
Driftwood is a very spacious five bedroom house that it tastefully decorated and comes stocked with everything that you need for your stay. The property is very secluded yet is only a short drive from town. Everyone really enjoyed their stay at Driftwood.
My daughter left a toy behind, Jason and Melissa were kind enough to post it back to us.

Denmark Forest retreat is a delightful getaway spot for families or couples. Nestled in amongst a block of native timber it plays host to beautiful bird life including the timid blue wren and families of kangaroos. Melissa and Jason are very knowledgeable on the local swimming spots and dining options and helpful in any way they can. The cottage has a lovely homey feel and the slow combustion heater ensures the cooler Denmark evenings are spent cosily tucked up inside. All in all a beautiful spot for a relaxing getaway.

Always a great stay. I love the quiet ness yet the proximity to everyone and everything. It’s our home away from home when we visit. The owners are lovely people willing to do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. I love the two bedrooms when the snoring of one’s partner gets a little rambunctious to put up with. Two thumbs up well done.

Loved staying in our well equipped cottage with wood burner and wood already chopped to use and plentiful. Exceptionally tidy, clean and fresh probably one of the cleanest holiday homes I have ever stayed in, which we all agreed. Very friendly and helpful owners, Melissa and Jason. Close to shops, numerous walks, whether you want bush trails of long beach walks but the cottage manages to feel a million miles away being tucked into a stunning bush setting with privacy.

Gorgeous bush block close to town, with well set up chalets that cater for everything you need. Would highly recommend booking out the whole place with friends as the kids loved riding their bikes between the houses. Very tranquil and we will definitely go again.

We have just spent a beautiful all girls weekend here in the NAUTILUS COTTAGE at the Denmark Forest Retreat. Accommodation was just lovely and exceptionally clean, which rates very highly for us.. Cottage had everything we needed. The disabled friendly ensuite was a big plus as well, as it made it so much easier for me. The surroundings were nice and quiet and it is also located not too far from the town centre. Jason & Melissa are excellent hosts. Will certainly keep this on our list for next time.

We went to Denmark for a family birthday, 9 of us stayed in the 5 bedroom Driftwood. The house was very roomy & really well stocked. The surroundings are beautiful, natural bush land, bird life & kangaroos. We highly recommend Denmark Forest Retreat. Well kept & very clean. Melissa & Jason were great hosts. We will be back
