This house is in a lovely setting, has been beautifully maintained and is very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room is just gorgeous. The breakfast was very ordinary and some improvement there maybe, but overall a great place to stay.

No better way of having a pampering, enchanting Birthday weekend than to stay at Ford House - we stayed in the Ballroom - king size bed - en-suite - best room in the house - shared lounge beautifully decorated and a very welcome log fire ... breakfast in the barn was a real farmstyle affair with guests chatting as though...

My partner and I stayed at Ford House for one night and we were very pleased that we did. A little off the Main Street through Bridgetown, the accomodation is in the original Ford House ca late 1800s. The building is beautifully restored and decorated faithfully to the original era. We chose the Ballroom Suite with ensuite bathroom, which was...

Ford House is a collection of independent cottages. We stayed in the Jim Thorpe suite which is in the same cottage and adjacent to the Honeymoon suite with which it shares a lunge room and kitchen. Having stayed here previously I couldn't help notice the deterioration in the property. It is starting to show its age. The room was small...

I stayed at Ford House a week ago and found it be both charming and quirky. Entrance to the reception is through a garden containing several little shop stalls selling hats, garden ornaments, kitchenware and general bric a brac. Reception itself was full of hundreds of ornaments and other items for sale or just for show. All very enticing. My...

Always a lovely relaxing place to stay, stepping back in time to a world of peace and tranquility. Nothing better than sitting by the river with a good book and a coffee. Thanks once again for your hospitality.

Spent a weekend here with my wife in June '16 - Stayed in one of the outer buildings - very modern and luxuriously furnished and I would think quieter than in the larger buildings with separate rooms. Being mid winter it was of course freezing. Air-conditioned with electric blankets on the bed and a wonderfully appointed bathroom with spa bath....

I stayed a couple of nights in April our autumn and will again in January 2017. It is so interesting, not to be missed. See the craft shops there with unusual wares of high quality. the breakfast is included in the price and is exceptional in quality. The extensive gardens roll down to the deep, wide Blackwood River. In addition...

Just a hidden piece of heaven. The walks along the river in the early morning start the day with a sense of quiet and beauty. The joyful chat at breakfast and meeting different guests, give a added interest with unexpected stories to share. The owner Jenny is a one off character - a conversation with her is unforgettable. A truly...

We were very pleasantly surprised at this amazing property. It is truely beautiful. Where do we begin!! The accomodation is very homely and comfortable, the original Ford Homestead remains in it's olde world charm. The breakfast room is a wonderland for all to see. The gardens are a typical cottage style. We can highly recommend this property, thank you Jenny for...
