Four kilometres down a dirt track we discovered Mas de la Serra. From the moment we arrived everything was wonderful - Alasdair, the owner, was on hand to greet us and show us around the house he has so perfectly restored. Our room (Morello) was on two levels with all mod cons and comfort. The freestanding bath looked out through...

I love this hotel for its remote and scenic location, amazing food, truly genuine hospitality and relaxed atmosphere. Ten minutes drive up a dirt track reveals a wonderful Mas perched on top of a hill with views to die for. The decor is rustic with an infusion of Scottish country house (thanks to the land of origin of its owner)....

My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding with a small number of family and friends at Mas de la Serra. We rented the whole property for a week and the result was nothing short of spectacular. The views from the property are breathtaking in every direction. The villa is well appointed and quite a bit larger than I assumed...

Don't be put off by the rather steep bumpy track up to Mas de la Serra! The remote location of this special hotel is superb with stunning views over the mountains to the West - go up to the generous roof terrace on the top floor to have your sun downer! Luis and Jenny who run the hotel are so...

The area around Mas de la Serra in my mind is best described as Spain's Tuscany. The good thing though is unlike Tuscany it's relatively unknown. Mas de la Serra provides you with a home from home environment to explore the region and be fascinated by the medieval hill tops towns, the stunning vistas and the local cuisine. The hotel...

This is a truly tucked away beautiful hotel, surrounded by evergreen mountains, olive and almond trees (worth the sight when in full bloom around March!); all completed by the local wild fauna. It works perfect with friends and families, with a swimming pool to cool in the height of the summer and enough corners to have a quiet adult time...

What a wonderful place to visit. You are warmly welcomed by Luis, Jenni, Alistair, and Gail. The attention to detail is high. The location is off the beaten track and the views are amazing. The food is sumptuous with a variety of fish, steak, salads. The cellar is well stocked with local and regional wine, cava and soft drinks. If...

We had a fantastic week in the sun at Mas de la Serra in March this year and we will definitely be returning! The hotel is located in a stunning part of Spain, surrounded by mountains and close to the beautiful medieval town of Valderrobbres. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool (don't be surprised if an ibex wanders past), eating...

Mas De La Serra is improbable! Five miles down a gravel road, perched on a side of a mountain, this has to be one of the most unlikely and beautiful hotels in Europe. The view alone is worth the visit. You look out for 30k across the majestic Els Ports mountains and it is almost impossible to see any other...

The perfect setting for a wedding. We recently attended a wedding here it was held in an olive grove overlooking the mountains and the sun shone. The facilities are excellent including the Rock Room, built around a rock, for that late night dancing
