As expected from a mr mrs smith associated hotel this place was stylish and provided a glorious location for our stay. Charming owners. Subtle touches of design. Stunning views. Easy to get to from airport with a map. Food was delicious. I would recommend this to all friends who are travelling around Tuscany.

A cosy place with nice decor, good ambience and fantastic food/wine! The location is ok but bare in mind it's in a little village - so a bit of traffic etc, it's not completely rural. The shower was too low for my husband but that's the only thing we could complain about. Leaving with great memories :)

Amazing hotel, echo comments of 2x prior reviews. Villa is stunning, with spacious rooms, gorgeous views and beautiful decor. Food and service cannot be faulted, both are exceptional. Definitely hire a car if staying here so that you can explore the rest of the Tuscan countryside.

Located 45 mins via car from the centre of Florence, staying at Villa Sassolini felt like we'd taken a step back through time. Surrounded by a small town on a hilltop overlooking the characteristic Tuscan olive groves and rolling hills this was a peaceful and relaxing getaway location. Although there was no parking inside the hotel grounds we managed to...

Stayed for a few days in August 2012. Wanted somewhere a little out of the way and also between Florence and Siena. Both visited although fifty minutes to either due to the winding roads through the beautiful Tuscan country side. Rooms were great and service very attentive the pool small but nice and cold for a cooling dip. The view...

My husband and I have just returned from 5 nights at Villa Sassolini and I have to say it was fabulous. The remote location up in the Tuscan hills makes it feel like a real hidden gem and the gardens and interiors are beautifully done. The food is also a real treat - I would definitely recommend the truffle linguine!...

My husband & I visited the Villa in April 2012, as part of a trip to Florence & Tuscany. What a wonderful find - and what terrific staff. Special mention to George who looked after us beautifully at dinner each evening. Food was delicious. Company in this small, stylish hotel was fun. Only 2 smallish things could improve the hotel...
