This hotel exceeded our expectations because of its great elevated location, the large size of the suite (we were upgraded because we stayed for a week), and the friendly staff. Only a short walk to Anacapri, its restaurants and attractions.
Hotel San Michele is gorgeous! My sister and I stayed here for 1 night in October, and it was beautiful! We had a room on the 4th floor (which was the only room on the floor), and it was a loft-type room with two balconies...More
Spent three nights here for a friend's wedding. First the pros: 1) Fantastic location, easy walk into Anacapri (far nicer and more relaxed than Capri town) 2) Useful shuttle from the port directly to/from the hotel. Now the cons: 1) We booked a sea view...More
Love walking up the stairs with the lush plants, everywhere, open doors & large windows open & the old world feel of the lobby. My room was much more than expected for a single room! Large bed, sofa, little patio even though I didn't have...More
San Michele is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and overall pleasant hotel with beautiful mediterranian views from the terrace areas. I even got straight view to Marina from my single room! Furniture in common areas has old-times charm and single room was simple, but cosy....More

I booked the hotel on one of the many sites that have all types of hotels. The hotel itself seems to not update their information until spring time. Take Hydrofoil to Capri from Naples or Sorrento. Blue Grotto you can take taxi back to Marina and do a tour or take a taxi to the grotto and walk down to the water. There is a landing spot for the small boats that take you in to the grotto. The line varies depending on how crowded the place is. We have had short waits and extra long waits and have done it both ways (via water boat or walking to it). Enjoy, we love it!
