The second night of a 10 day trip in France, found us in Saint Emillion. This hotel is centrally located, not overly easy to find, we stumbled on it rather than navigated our way to it. Next to the church in a small square surrounded by wine shops. Our room was in the main house, it was a good size...

The property lived up to and exceeded expectations. Rooms are high quality finish, bathroom was exceptional. I usually take notice of the quality of the rooms finishing, furniture, etc and our room easily deserves a 5 star rating in all regards. Air conditioning worked perfectly and was not noisy or obtrusive in any way. I always appreciate when you can...

Decided to stay for one night to round off a great week in the region - and when we booked decided to opt for dinner While the dinner lived up to the restaurant's reputation - we opted for the 4 course "Discovery" menu with an extra cheese course and recommended wines with each course, we had a couple of gripes...

I went to that amazing place for my honeymoon. The trip was planned and organized by one of the best companies ever called GOURMET TOURING. The manager called John, he made for us the most beautiful honey moon ever. Everything was planned by minute to minute, the choice to stay at the hostellerie was also by John, all the wine...

My Girlfriend and I visited Hostellerie de Plaisance in late November and our stay lived up to all the great reviews the hotel had received. Our room was spacious and had all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel, the staff were genuine and more than willing to help with any queries we had. The location was fantastic you couldn’t...

This hotel is simply perfect! The service is outstanding, as are the rooms and the 2 star Michelin chef. The decor is lovely, everything is spotless, the art work sophisticated and charming. There is nothing I could possibly criticize, and I am a picky person! The town is probably the most picturesque I have ever visited, and the location is...

I agree with everybody praising the Hostellerie.. If you jhave the chance, book the "Pétrus" room: It is huge and has an enormous private garden! Service is very good, restaurant is top line, premisses real clean and well kept. After an excellent night of sleep I turned on the main light and heard a bip. It was from the cell...

An amazing hotel and restuarant. The hotel is a tasteful modern restaurant at the top of a midieval town. We stayed in a large deluxe double (one step down from a suite). Tremendous modern amenities including top of the line bathroom, Clarins products, two closets, a balcony overlooking the village, the best furnishings, linens... I could go on. The service...

Hostellerie de Plaisance is indeed a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the limitations of the rooms in the "Vineyard Side" Plavie Residence made our stay there disappointing. Had we known these rooms existed we certainly never would have booked one. Let's start with the location. One of the reasons to book a room in this hotel is to...

This is truly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The only ones that might beat it are Gleneagles in Scotland and the American Club in Kohler, WI. The service is impeccable, the location inspiring and the food is divine. The restaurant has one of the best chefs in France. He'll come out and talk to you...
