I have been lucky enough to stay in some amazing hotels around the globe. Hostellerie de Plaisance was booked for us by friends while traveling through France. We had no pre conceived ideas about this accommodation. We arrived in late September for one night. This property was so beautiful and exceptional, we cancelled another accommodation for the following day and...

There is not much more to say about this hotel that has not already been stated and repeated. We just loved it!!!!! It only has 17 rooms, has a tremendous restaurant, a view which is sublime, a terrace to die for, incredible staff and a 5 star breakfast which is different and wonderful. I would be bold enough to say...

It has a great view, the rooms are close to perfect but you need to take breakfast inside whereas the terrace is the place to be. The bar is well decorated but the service is not top and too much light is not nice late in the evening.

Really a unique Hotel in a very historical village!! You are right in the heart of the village and our stay at this property was perfect! Our room was in the annex which was in an amazing part of the hotel, which is on a hill side. The Hotel is in the part of the village which is on the...

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay if you want to experience St Emilion at its best - i.e. early morning and late evening when you have the place to yourself. It is also a great place to be at the height of the tourist invasion when you can lounge on the terrace, sipping St Emilion wine in the...

Went for a family lunch in this beautiful Relais & Châteaux property in the heart of Saint Emilion. The view is wonderful and the lunch itself very tasty and well presented. The staff was very nice and courteous while friendly. We visited a couple of rooms and this is definitely the best place to stay in Saint Emilion. a truly...

In last July we have been to a beautiful historic village of Saint Emilion. We spend a night in the Hostellerie de Laisance. The hotel is exceptional more than fabulous. Very elegant with wonderful and very professional service with fantastic view of the valley. But even more exceptional was our dinner. We chose the Menu Carte Blanche and this was...

Was a fabulous two night stay. On arrival our car was whisked away to be parked, we were shown our room quickly and then straight to the lovely terrace for a drink overlooking the village and valley beyond. The location was excellent but the highlight would be the restaurant where we had dinner. Light modern French cooking.

A great hotel with wonderful service. Breakfast on patio overlooking the valley was spectacular. I look forward to returning one day. We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was closed but plenty of great eateries close by

Most summers we tour Europe by car staying in 5 star hotels. Some of them hugely expensive. Put simply this was the most delightful hotel we have ever stayed in. Probably not one for more than three or four days as there is no swimming pool. The terrace has spectacular views. The restaurant was closed when we visited but the...
