While visiting St. Emilion we spent three very enjoyable days at La Gomerie, which is just two or three minutes outside of town by car and within easy reach of surrounding vineyards. Our room was spacious and the bathroom had plenty of shelf space. Just off the dining / common sitting area there is a common kitchen where one can...

We stayed at La Gomerie for 2 nights as we explored Saint Emilion and the local area. The owners were exceedingly welcoming, giving information on the area and the surrounding vineyards, as well as providing bike hire and maps. Our room was lovely, over-looking the vineyard and exceedingly peaceful, and the breakfast was the perfect start to the day. La...

A warm and friendly reception on arrival. Lovely quiet, comfortable and spacious rooms and a delicious breakfast. This was a return visit for our daughter but our first stay which we very much enjoyed. We very much hope to visit again.

Staying at La Gomerie was relaxing and welcoming. The owner was very accommodating, resourceful, and flexible. She was an excellent host and had a very clean and cozy room for us. Apart from all that, La Gomiere was a ten minute walk from the beautiful town of Saint Emilion. Would not hesitate to stay here again if I come back.

This B&B owned and run by Marie-France Favard offers an ideal setting in the middle of a vineyard, less than a mile from St. Emilion. A little hard to find at first, only because the small sign comes upon you rather quickly, but for the 4 days we stayed there, we could immediately find the driveway, no problem!!! Marie was...

There's a lot of B&B's around Saint-Emilion, and a few hotels right in the old town. I think the B&B's a better choice, especially for a longer stay. The prices are more reasonable and you get more for your money in a more relaxed environment. What's not to like waking up and looking out over vineyards before going down to...

Nice clean (if rather old-fashioned) room and a copious breakfast, just a hop skip and a jump from St Emilion which is a lovely albeit touristic village with plenty of restaurants from which to choose. On leaving the hotel turn right to drive into the village , then left at the roundabout to access the free public parking 5 minutes'...

I agree with the previous reviewers that the place isn't marked well and names are confusing. On arrival we headed to the Gomerie first. Luckily, it is closeby. But once we settled down, it felt like home. We had a spacious triple room on the 1st floor. It was spotless, and they do the clearining and change towels every day....

This place was a pleasant surprise, given there was not a substantial amount on information on trip adviser or their website (http://www.mf-favard.fr/). Quick note on access - Firstly as previously noted, the place is actually called "Château Meylet".There is a sign on D243 to a place called "Château La Gomerie" - which is NOT this place. See my photographs to...

I agree with the previous reviewer about the confusion over the name. I found three 'names' for La Gomerie. Obviously La Gomerie, which is the address,, Meylet, which is the chateau name and in a French guide, they called it by the name of the owner, which was something like 'Fumer'. Very confusing. Very nice room and ensuite, very near...
