It was for a accidental detour to Jalandhar while returning from Dalhousie when I booked Maharaja Residency. Online reviews looked good and the front desk gave a good deal for two rooms. The hotel is located at a stone’s throwaway from Railway station and is near to main market. The room was exactly the same as shown on website with nice ambience and clean linen. Room service was excellent particular mention for Shubham who always catered us with a nice smile on his face. Mr Ajit at front desk were really nice and facilitated quick check in for us as we reached late in night. One star deducted is for washrooms which are in need of serious overhaul. The WC look worn out and the faucet needs revamp. Moreover the complimentary breakfast spread is too meek and must have bit more variety. Overall a nice Hotel for short stay at Jalandhar.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights and picked this hotel as it is around 15 minutes from the train station. Reception were helpful and professional. Rooms are simply decorated but large and comfortable with a mini-bar fridge. Bathrooms are good. We were a little concerned about the noise of drilling outside when we first arrived and Reception were quick to show us a another couple of rooms. The drilling was short-lived so we opted to stay where we were. That said, we could hear slamming doors on and off through the night, but I suspect that was badly behaved guests rather than the hotel staff.
The hotel has a bar area and also a separate restaurant. We had some drinks and snacks in the bar and then went to the restaurant to eat, but found that there was some sort of function going on so we couldn't eat there. The hotels should have pre-warned us about this. However, that said, we went back to the bar to eat where the food was excellent and the service was also very good. I was pleasantly surprised that as the only female in the bar, I was not made to feel at all awkward. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was adequate but nothing special. Lunch, however was delicious.
An incident which let the hotel down badly, however, is when I asked reception for a bottle opener to open a bottle of soda from the mini-bar. I assume there was some misunderstanding as a young man arrived with something else. When I explained (with some difficulty) that I wanted a bottle opener, he left the room clearly rather irritated. Not realising that I understand Punjabi, I heard him yell down the corridor to a colleague something about stupid people not knowing what they want. His general attitude was very stroppy from the moment he had walked into the room. It is because of this, that I have only given this hotel three stars instead of four.
All in all, this is a clean and comfortable hotel which just needs a bit of fine tuning and I would happily stay here again.

And come to the conclusion the room service staff was complaining to the captain for Room service order taker who had picked your call. His intention was not to hurt you. Anyhow we are taking it very seriously as staff is not allowed to discuss in guests area. We have no record about this complain on Front deck otherwise quick action is taken. We are assuring you it will never happen in future. You have mentioned about noise due to contraction work was going on in back side area so that is completed. That time also we were caring to not to disturb our guests therefore all noisy work was going on in the basement area of other building. We want to assure you that our effort is always your safety, service, hospitality, care & comfort, which is the number one priority. This is a great place to relax after a busy day in jalandhar. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, and quiet. The facilities are well equipped and the service is excellent. Great breakfast. Overall, a good experience.

I have Booked this hotel room deluxe on 6th November from their online site http://www.hotelmaharajaresidency.com/ . When i arrived there the hotel staff didn't provide us the room, by saying that we can't give you the room because you have ID of local city. me and my fiance felt very cheated!.there is no terms and conditions provided on their site, at phone the staff were very polite but at reception it was totally opposite. Till now There is no response from them about the refund. so beware guys about them.

Dear Sir, First of all thanks for choosing us to serve you. But we both know that it is called an elligal room when : 1. Your age is 22-23 approx and you ware carrying local ID Proof. 2. You had no reason for stay at hotel. 3. You had no lagguage. 4. You fiance was not carrying her Id Proof or was not interested to show hed ID 5. She was looking under the age. 6. When my manager on duty asked the reason for stay with us when you have local residence ....your answer was unlogical....you replied...write anything what thing. In this situation we were feeling uncomfortable to give you accommodation in our hotel. Because in any condition our repotation is very important and it effect to other room guests also those are staying in our hotel with a good impression and expecting a comfortable and secure stay with us. We would like to inform you that we are running our hotel professionally and there are some instructions also from local administration.... WOW..that's it WOW... Good dealing with guests....proper hygienic maintained... Very polite employees...rooms were really very very good.. Room service was excellent...they served piping hot food.. I was with my friends...and they also enjoyed a lot. All in all...it was a good experience...

I stayed here for a night with my brother and i liked it. I got its review from TripAdvisor itself so i thought of trying it out. Very close to Railway station with all amenities and excellent food and good value for money. Bath room with 24 hr hot water facility. The reception and travel desk help you plan your travel in and around Jalandhar City. Go for the super deluxe room. Complementary break fast is to be appreciated.
