The service was impeccable.. The bathroom was good, and the club room had a good reading area. The service at the cafe was a bit slow but the food was good.

I Really Loved Staying Here . They Had Very Unique Inspiring Interiors And The Rooms Were Very Comfortable And Well Cleaned. Definitely A Good Hotel To Stay. I Would Like To Stay There Again And Again And Even Wanna Advice My Friends & Relatives To Visit Hotel Shangrila And The Front Face Staff's Was Very Attentive , Helpful And Meets Your Needs And Very Friendly Too....... We booked in to this hotel in march,as we got in the rooms we were very shocked to see how dirty the room was .the bathroom was even dirtier .the toilet seat was broken there was lot of dirt round the toilet.the shower was also very dirty,any ways after complain they cleaned it but it was still very dirty.The cleaners and the staff did best but they can only work on with what they provided with,they had to use same cloth to clean all the rooms no mop or bucket.our continental break fast was included in our booking,it was anything but continental,so for me and my famiy it was a bad experience and would not stay there.

Dear Readers,
Before I start with my worst hotel stay experience I just want to share that I rarely write reviews until I am greatly moved by the experience. Hence do take this into account when booking a room in this awful hotel
I had a nightmare staying in this hotel as on my last night I was asked to vacate the room! They had an entire group of 13 drunk people fighting with them at 1 in the night for the room which I was staying in. Apparently they had booked the room but since they did not show up on their due date the booking stood cancelled technically. However the brawl went on for 2/3 hours because the manager refused to stand his ground as they had booked all the other rooms too in the hotel!
As I was alone I did not create a scene as there were 13 drunk men fighting with the manager and being a girl I had to also be assured of my safety.
This entire episode deeply upset as they chose money over customer service. Such businesses can never do well!
They took me to a nearby hotel for the night at 3:30am. It was called Leo Fort Hotel. Eventhough they gave me the best room in the hotel I was surprised how terrible it was. the room was smelly, AC wasn't working properly and the worst of all- the telephone to contact the reception was DEAD.
Continuing with SHangri-La that is not all. They had done enough in the past 3 days to upset me:
1. I had to leave every morning at 8:15am and there breakfast starts at 8:30am. They could not even adjust their breakfast timings for 15 mins! Never seen a hotel this rigid and customer unfriendly. As a result I had to arrange for my own breakfast
2. All the days they made sure I called the reception for a dental kit as they would clean it out from the room in the evening and NEVER REPLACE IT
3. The bathroom was so dirty and the exhaust fan didn't work. Hence you always entered a smelly bath room. I requested the staff to leave an air freshner for my help but they were so stingy they REFUSED!!
In all I realised I could do a better job at running a hotel without any prior experience but a lot of experience of staying in hotels across India and Internationally!

Discovered this hotel through friends a few years ago. Great location close to the city centre, convenient with assisted valet parking. Rooms are modern and beds are comfortable, the great food is a big USP especially with the addition of a new cafe.

the suite rooms were the highlight because of the convenience, space and tech and all the gimmicks in the room. it had a tv in the washroom, and the lights, curtains could be controlled by a remote and it was blissful with the candles in the bathub
