This was one of the best B&Bs that we've stayed at. Clever decor and very organized plus super clean. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was delicious! We would highly recommend.
Mary and John made us feel so welcome at their B&B! We spent 5 nights and received the most wonderful homemade breakfasts each morning! Mary pays attention to every detail including spotless cleanliness, kitchen amenities, travel brochures and racetrack schedules, ice and treats in the fridge! The location is so close to the Watkins Glen International Speedway! And a quick ride to Watkins Glen, the Gorge, Seneca Lake Harbor and The Corning Glass Museum. We had a wonderful time!
Amazing place to stay at .. close to Watkins Glen Raceway, the State Park as well as a short drive to the wineries. John and Mary were great hosts. Our room was very nice, clean and well designed. Mary made yummy hot breakfasts. Highly recommend staying here
Mary and John are great Inn Keepers. The Apex Inn is spotless and much attention is given down to the smallest detail to make sure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need. The racetrack track theme and all the Watkins Glen photos are great. The breakfast is delicious and the kitchen is well stocked with snacks 24/7. The Inn is less than half a mile from Watkins Gen race track and a short drive into town. It is also a great location to access the wineries, breweries and hiking around Seneca Lake. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning!
Really nice weekend at the Apex Inn. Mary and John were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious and rooms were spotless and well-equipped. Breakfast times were a tad early for us (6-8 am), but definitely worth getting up for. We appreciated all of the attention to environmentally friendly practices.
My wife and I stayed at The Apex Inn so we could attend the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen International. We enjoyed two nights in the Turn 1 room. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed plus more. Mary and John were extremely welcoming and made sure we were content. The home cooked breakfasts were amazing. We could not have asked for a better visit. Thank you Mary and John for a wonderful experience.
My wife and I have stayed at many B&B's over the years and except for one they were all good experiences. But the Apex Inn beats them all hands down. We went to Watkins Glen for the Wine Festival and spent five days at the Apex. John took us to the festival and picked us up both days so we would not have to drive. Mary thinks of everything. (Grapes are cut in half to make them easier to stab with yoyr fork). The food was great every day. (Plan on gaining some weight). Mary offered to drive us to dinner at a restaurant at least 12 miles away and come back and pick us up. She also washed my wife's shirt to remove a red wine stain. The house is a 175 year old farm house that is restored to an incredible standard. Better than most new houses. The interior is decorated with a racing theme thourghout. Stay here if you want to experience the best that a B&B can offer.…
The only regret I have is not staying another night. My husband and I stayed at the Apex Inn for 2 nights so we could attend a weekend event at Watkins Glen International. You will feel comfortable immediately upon arrival. Mary and John are the most inviting and accommodating hosts you could ask for. We immediately felt like valued guests in their home. We relaxed by the firepit in the yard on their beautiful property during our "down time." We enjoyed a wonderful home cooked breakfast each morning before heading to the track. They were happy to accommodate our early schedule so breakfast was ready at 6:30AM. The town is only 5 miles away where there are numerous places to have a great dinner and take in the beauty of Seneca Lake. It is clear that Mary and John know exactly what a guest needs (and then some!). The rooms are large, modern, immaculate and extremely comfortable. I appreciated the common area to sit and have coffee before "turning in" for the evening. There is so much more I could share. They simply thought of everything. Thank you Mary and John for making us feel like such welcome guests. We look forward to the day we can return. Alane and George Bakalyar…
We have stayed at many B&Bs around the world and this is one of the best. Mary and John are wonderful hosts that have thought of everything. The country setting is very peaceful. Mary cooks a wonderful breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.
The B&B was immaculate, we had never stayed in a place so clean, be it hotel or B&B. Breakfasts were delicious and you never went away hungry. John and Mary were the most gracious, accommodating, and attentive hosts you could ever ask for. The area has so much to offer, countless wineries and sights to see. If you are thinking of staying in the Finger Lakes... this B&B should be at the very top of your list!
