Had some trouble finding the hotel and then no-one in reception. Seems only one person dealing with reception and the bar. Ringing bell brought someone but not very welcoming and we had to take our own bags up to the room. Breakfast basic with croissant and juice so not worth the €12 per person charged. Go to the local boulangerie...

A great cafe with a good selection of charcuterie, cheeses and other delicacies such as foie gras and dried duck breast. Beer was nice and cold and there was a good selection of teas too. A nice one to watch the world go by!

The Maison des Consuls is centrally located in Mirepoix with lots of bars and restaurants and small shops. Great for sitting outside in the sun for meals and as a base for visits to other areas. I was attending a friend's daughter's wedding in Chateau Camon about 20 minutes drive away and I did not want to hire a car....

This great hotel is in the middle of beautiful Mirepoix, with it's famous medieval center and arcades. The hotel building is from the XV century and the "Chambre du Marquis" we stayed in was beautiful, classy, stylish and comfortable. The bathrooms are new and large. There is a wine bar attached to the hotel and the breakfast is served under...

Once we had parked the car in their secure parking, we were shown into a room we had booked, but to reduce the stairs were offered an alternative on the first floor. This room was superb, with an entrance to a small corridor of which was the toilet, separate bathroom and very roomy bedroom. We had a view over the...

The Maison des Consuls does really delicious platters of cold meats and cheeses, and delicious wine. We shared one platter between two and it was more than enough for lunch. Fabulous spot for lunch and people watching in the beautiful old square of Mirepoix.

We stayed here at the last minute and we very pleasantly surprised. The room was well equipped...even a fridge...with a large modern bathroom, free wifi at good speed, air con, a small balcony, comfortable and clean beds. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast generous and served in a charming inner courtyard.

We were booked (and confirmed) at Relais Royal, which had closed without giving us notice. We were standing on the street in Mirepoix at 6:30 p.m. wondering what to do next when a very nice family came by, saw our predicament, and walked us to this hotel a few blocks away. (many, many thanks to them, who we are calling...

Lovely quaint hotel in a 15th Century building, overlooking the medieval market place right in the centre of the old town. Staff were very friendly and the rooms large and very clean. From here we visited the Caves of Niaux and the many Chateau's in the area, we did have a car though. Parking is easy just outside the Square,...

We stayed three nights here at the end of August/beginning of September. Our room overlooked the medieval square directly opposite the cathedral with its gargoyles. What an amazing sight as the sun went down. There is a buzz from the pavement cafes but nothing obtrusive. As other reviewers have said, the rooms are characterful and in keeping with this ancient...
