Mweya Safari Lodge is well established and is a very large lodge complex. The location is stunning with magnificent views over the Kazinga channel. The facilities are good, the restaurant food is really excellent, but there are some serious deficiencies in comparison to other lodges. My wife enquired of the waiter at the evening meal when the advertised fire would...

Lovely stay at Mweya in November 2016. We had originally booked for one night, but decided to stay two once we arrived slightly later than planned so we could make the most of the location and surroundings. We stayed in one of the Deluxe Safari tents which had an amazing view over the water. The tent itself was very big,...

Stayed here for 1 night in December after a very long drive from Bwindi National Park. Shown to a musty room and after a very informative boat ride, wanted a shower before dinner. No hot water. Engineers came and stated that they could not fix the issue as the whole block was not working. Had a cold shower and then...

Overlooking the Kazinga Channel at first impression seemed like it would be nice. Unfortunately food was average. Staff uninterested and not friendly in the dining areas. Rooms stuffy and beds too hard. In need of a little TLC.

We found elephants on the entrance after the drive!. We only stayed for one night there, but the best thing was the amazing food and the staff was really kind. Great location The rooms were not very modern, and a better protection from mosquitoes could be useful. We took the hotel tour to the lake (alone in the boat) and...

Lots to see here... highly recommend the boat tour... must have seen 50+ elephants, and even more hippos... crocs and birds in abundance.... Safari guide was not quite as good... apparently you need to pay extra to have a driver take you further into the bush to get closer to animals... otherwise you have to stick to the roads. We...

OVERALL GOOD - Service was very good, Rooms are good and neat, tidy and safe. Food severed was good and fresh. The location of the hotel is with beautiful surrounding and nice view from out side the hotel. One can see the elephants far away. The different types of birds can be seen in the dinning area.

After staying in tents, albeit luxury tents, and cottages it was a very welcome change to stay in a place that resembled a proper hotel (more aptly a motel since there were only blocks of one story rooms that opened directly on the parking lots). We were in a deluxe room (please see photos attached). It had excellent lighting and...
