Very relaxed environment. Great place to chill in between game drives. We went on an overnight bush camp, which was fantastic, complete with night drive. The food is good with friendly staff who are eager to please. The river is a great place to have a paddle or swim or you can use the lodges plunge pool. We had the...

We really enjoyed this lodge. Our lunch was probably the best meal we had while in Uganda and the other meals were also good. The staff was wonderful. Our cabin overlooked a bend in the river and was lovely. The water pressure was the best since we left Entebbe and there was plenty of hot water. We had a drop...

I was cycling through Queen Elizabeth national park when I got sick. I sought for help in Kameme, the village nearby 'At the river Ishasha'. They directed to the camp where I met the owner, Alex, who had no problem accommodating me till i got back on my feet. He looked after me for two days treating me as his...

Lovely place to stay, our cabin overlooked the river and we found the whole ambiance of the camp to be peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. However when it came to our meal in the evening things were not so good. All guests were seated in the dining room at the...

We stayed in one of the en-suites - super comfy beds, a lovely hot shower and an amazing view of the river and the forest opposite where monkeys were often playing + so many stunning birds everywhere! Such a peaceful place :) So happy we saw a tree climbing lion, elephants, buffalo, waterbuck and the adorable Genet cat on our...

I enjoyed my stay at The River Ishasha a lot. The staff was friendly and the food nice. I especially enjoyed walking down to the river to look at the wildlife (mostly birds). We spent one night and had a good sleep. Stayed there in Feb 2014.

We stayed here 1 might and would have left if we didn't pay in advance. The best was the packed lunch for the next day, the huts are darf, I had a fly nest in my bed, the stuff tries to be friendly, but we didn't enjoy the stay in the lodge. For 190 dollar it is overpriced. The worst...

We had an excellent experience in @ the river. The bungalows were really cute and ours had a view towards a beach where elephants come to have a bath. The owner, Alex, was there at the time and took us to a night game drive where we saw ~10 lions including one tiny baby! It was all super entertaining and...

We had booked three nights at the River Ishasha as part of our stay in Queen Elizabeth National Park, but unfortunately decided to leave At the River after one night. We paid $95 per person, per night full board, making the cost of our stay $190 for the night for a cabin. This was the MOST expensive place we stayed...

Thank you for your honest response. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us, and I would like to offer a few explanations as to why these issues happened and what we have done to rectify them. 1. You were actually unfortunate as after you booked we in-fact reduced our prices from $95-$75 per person per...
