Our time at Countryside Guesthouse was great. The owner, Emma, was very helpful and hospitable. He also serves as a professional driver (which comes in very handy near Kisoro), and he is also a walking safari guide. Although we never went on a walking safari, he told us that it is a 50K walk over two days with an overnight... More

I stayed here with friends for a week whilst I was visiting Kisoro. The guesthouse had a great owner who was very friendly and would organise a taxi for you as and when you needed one. The guesthouse staff were great and would cook food for you as soon as you ordered it any time of the day. The rooms... More

Very basic rooms but not lacking: hot water, mosquito nets, clean. Lovely breakfast. Make sure to order the night before if you are leaving early. Extremely friendly staff. Good value for money and close to the city center.

Simple rooms but very comfortable with en suite but limited hot water (if you turn the heater on). Good breakfast and nice, good value meals available. Lovely staff. They have a car so you can arrange trips and transport. Everything in Uganda that was quoted in dollars was a bit overpriced and it's difficult to get much of a discount.

I wanted to spend some time with my girlfriend exploring Kisoro ahead of our marriage later this year so booked a short 4 night stay at this hotel. The hotel owner Ernest and his brother Emmanuel were very friendly and for very reasonable prices drove us to all the destinations we wished to visit. On top of that Annita and... More

I thought this place was a bit overpriced for what it was. It was recommended to me by the Nkuringo Gorilla Camp so I expected something better for my $25 and also compared to what I would get in Tanzania for that price. It's a bit run down and neglected looking. Dinner was good, breakfast OK. Staff helpful.

We sayed here for 3 nights around our trip to the gorillas. The guest house was immaculate. The shower was hot. From what I could tell, there was only one shower so we had to be strategic as to who in our group of 9 would shower and when. They provided shower shoes which was nice. Outside washing facilities are... More

stayed in many places in south west uganda - the friendliness and the little extra care of the staff makes this place extraordinary in comparison to other guest houses of the same or even more expensive range.

Stayed for one night on completion of walk from Buhoma to Kisoro with Nkuringo Walking Safari.
