It is located in the heart of stone town. The beach is 2 minutes away. I stayed there twice, once in a double, once in a single. The bathrooms are the problem but they are the same in almost every hotel I stayed in Tanzania ( except if you go to the Hilton or something I guess). The reception is...

Stayed here one night, in a twin room. Clean, hot shower, mosquito net. You have to ask for towels at reception but it's free. Good WIFI at the reception. The breakfast isn't much, not much atmosphere, and it were a lot of stairs to my room, but the location and friendly staff make up for everything. It's right in the...

Stone Town is an old city with lots of old buildings. The Karibu Inn is very basic and clean. Separate bathroom with a shower that was Ok, nothing fantastic. At least the staff were friendly, breakfast was included which was basic but Ok. Everything is walking distance from the hotel, including the port for the ferry back to Dar es...

We had a twin room, with a fan an a/c that we didn't try. Each bed had its own mosquito net. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is very small...you cannot shower without getting everything wet... don't leave the toilet paper in there!! The staff were very honest, returning money when we accidentally gave them 5000's instead of 500's....

I spent most of the day away but the place is great and clean. my room was very affordable as I paid US$35 per night. I loved the security and the extremely friendly and helpful staff. They pointed me in all the right directions to get what i needed.

I had a good time in the Karibu inn. Beeing the cheapest hostel in whole stone town, I didn't expect much. But there are nice clean big beds. A separate shower and toilet for every dorm. The owner was really nice and even turned the dorm room into a woman dorm especially for us. Also the staff had a lot...

This place is located next to Slik Route restaurant and very close (50m) to the gardens/old fort of Stonetown. The dorm is average standard with 6 beds with mosquito nets and bed sheets, a shower that has somewhat hot water, and the reseptionist are very helpful. The breakfast is included, not my cup of tea...

Simple, basic accomodation in the heart of Stone Town. We stayed at the double room with bathroom. It was clean and the shower was hot -- even though they should seriously consider a shower curtain. There is no wi-fi, but you can get good access at one of the nearby cafes if you eat or drink a small something. Breakfast...

The rooms here are basic but the location definitely makes up for it. It is less than a 2 minute walk from the sea and the Forodhani Gardens and right next to all the shops. The streets around it feel very safe, even late at night and the staff are friendly. If you want a no frills place to stay...

Great place, where we stayed for 2 nights. Not any luxury, but good beds, great location, atmosphere and a filling breakfast. We booked a couple of nights in advance, and they rebooked us too a bigger room, so great service! Great value for money.
