#1 of 38 hotels in Stone Town
Travellers' Choice
Zanzibar Palace Hotel is a luxurious nine room boutique hotel located right in the heart of Stone Town (an Unesco World Heritage site). It is independently owned is an ideal home to explore and experience all the beauties of this magical town and Island. Zanzibar's rich history is integrated throughout the hotel by Arabian, Indian and English designs, this in combination with all modern comfort (airco, free WiFi, flatscreen TV's, etc). Each room/suite has its own unique decor with many local originating antique pieces of furniture, magical beds, colourful silks, etc. Room rates for every purse definitely makes this a place to stay. As you walk through the front door, you notice the soft aqua blue interior colours along with the antique furniture. You are immediately put into a state of calm and relaxation.

ery good location for walking all over the city. Very close to the beach. The hotel itself has so much character and is just absolutely adorable. Our room had plenty of space and the decorations were beautiful. The bathtub was spectacular in the Kijani room. The owned rand manager Daniela is as welcoming as they come and made us feel like family. We were sad to have only stayed one night! I could recommend this hotel all day!

I have been traveling the world now for about 35 years for work and more recently pleasure only after I retired 8 years ago. I was denied boarding a flight out of Zanzibar and needed a room in a pinch. I went online and found The Zanzibar Hotel and booked it last minute. I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have stayed at in all my travels. I cannot say enough about how this entire team orchestrated by Daniela work together to make your stay as welcoming, comfortable and pleasurable as possible. Truly amazing. The scond you walk in, you feel at home in a palace. I cannot express enough how truly fantastic my stay was.

Wow! Best hotel in all your travels! This is something we, as a team, are very proud of: I have already shared your comments with everybody. We were happy to be able to support you in a difficult moment and very sad to see you go. I know your travels are taking you far away from Zanzibar, but hope you'll come to visit us again: a lot of great spots for diving!

I have been to this beautiful charme hotel for my 5nights stay in Zanzibar with friends. I was welcomed is a warm and professional way by the owner and her staff. Everybody was kind and helpful. I was delighted with the kindness and professionality of the people working in the hotel. The rooms are spacious and full of light. Clean and functional. I could not wait every morning to get the fantastic breakfast. I cannot wait to come back to beautiful Zanzibar!!

Had an incredible visit here. The room was tastefully decorated and had lots of nice touches. The breakfast and location were both great. There was an attention to detail with everything, from the service to the rooms. The staff are so friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist Jamila who went beyond her duty to help me out with some things. Will definitely stay next time I’m back in Zanzibar
