We really liked our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable (although the bed can be too short if you have above 1.9 m of height), the location great, the staff very helpful, breakfast tasty and big. The only drawbacks were that there was only 1 electrical outlet in our room so it was difficult to charge everything during...

The rooms are very clean and the beds are huge and comfortable. The bathroom is outside the rooms but is also very clean and has very hot water! The location is great, at the center of Stone Town. The wifi works, the staff is nice and the breakfast is good. Totally worth the price you are paying.

Arrived to meet a friend at the bar. I went to the bar and ordered a drink then asked for change to pay for transport. The bartender didn't have change (understandable) but then went on to say that I should round up and "do something good for once in your life". I dismissed this as he asked the other bar...

The staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was yummy (excellent bread!). The wifi was good and consistent, the room and bathroom clean with good mosquito nets, fan and AC. They gave us good recommendations on where to eat and helped arrange a spice tour. While it wasn't in the center of town, it was quiet and an easy walk to...

Who knew a king sized bed and breakfast could come for $30 a night! Air con, clean toilets and friendly staff made our stay a pleasant one. Situated in a centre of Stone Town, but tricky to find! Here's a bunch of characters to meet the minimum word limit asdfghjklkjhgfdsasdfghjkl

I stayed at the Jambo Guest House back in December after my study abroad program in northern Tanzania ended. Another student on the program had traveled to Zanzibar before the semester started, and suggest this place to me. I am so glad he did. They made everything super easy right from the beginning. They picked us up at the airport,...

Stayed here for 5 nights in total and I'm really glad I did. The guys that work the front desk are really nice and helpful, and the breakfast is the best I've had in a guesthouse, and it's included! The rooms and bathrooms are fairly basic but they're always kept clean and for the price they're a real bargain, especially...

“I didn't see any of the other rooms and I stayed as they were heading towards low season so it wasn't busy but if you don't have a room with A/C, it might pay to ask for one or check behind the curtain - the air conditioner might be installed and you just have to turn it on.”
