What makes this hotel a perfect place to stay is its welcoming staff, awesome location and fantastic rooms. We stayed in the triple room just above reception. It is spacious and well designed. The owner, Mohamed, really made us feel at home at Rumaisa. The breakfast staff and the receptionist are also very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed Rumaisa so...

Very comfortable room and bed. A few mosquitos about but there were mosquito nets to use and A/C. Some nice fruit at breakfast the eggs/bread wasn't nice. Not too far from the centre and easy to find from the port-walking distance (if you check google maps before hand!) Staff are quite nice.

Cheap hotel amazing rooms but rather back end of stone town. Good wifi. Great for our 4 night stay exploring the town! Staff are friendly too, the lady serving breakfast seems to do it all on her own and she is great!

Staff were so friendly, rooms are spotless, breakfast is good, great location easy to walk to ferry terminal or forodhani or darajani. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would reccommend to anyone who needs a clean comfortable hotel for a bargain price

The staff of this hotel is excellent and helped for all our needs. After the first night (beware of night food market...) we were bound to the bed and toilet due to stomach cramps and diarrhea for more than one day. The staff of the hotel offered us ginger tea (like local medicine) which helped to calm our stomach. In...

This hotel forgot all about our booking despite confirming with us a few days before our booking. No taxi came to pick us up and when we went to the hotel no one responded when we knocked at 12:30pm. Very disappointing we had to book into another hotel. Do not go here very disorganized!

Clean and comfortable place to stay in Stone Town - nice location too, easy to walk to good restaurants. Very safe, the owner was fantastic and showed us on the map where to go for good shopping/eating and where was unsafe to go. Slightly noisy in the morning with the roosters crowing. Would stay there again if in Stone Town.

We have been so happy with our stay at Rumaisa. We had spent a week "roughing it" in western Tanzania and were overjoyed to find a hot shower with lots of water pressure, a spotless room, friendly staff and WiFi! The location is a bit away from Stone Town (a 5minute walk) along a busy street, but that has been...
