We stayed here for a couple of nights before our flights after having moved around the island. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The place is in a good location, walking distance from the seafront and attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good and filling for the amount you are paying. The only thing...

We stayed at Funguni Palace Hotel for 3 nights. Simple, clean and cheap (shared a triple room and the rates even beat the hostel dorms). Basic breakfast (fresh fruit, juice, eggs and toast) provided on roof top. Pro's: - Cheap - Located within 5min of ferry port (to Dar). - Nice little roof top for breakfast - Free airport transfers...

We really enjoyed our stay in Funguni Palace hotel. Stayed there for 1 night and only had to walk a few minutes to anywhere we wanted to go. The place was really clean and had really good AC and clean comfortable bathrooms. The owner was really nice when one of our friends was feeling sick and let him stay in...

Funguni Hotel is a simple but very nice place to stay. Good value for a price they charge. Mr Ali Jussa and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean with A/C and bathrooms. This hotel is right near the port and the hustle and bustle of daily life, but not so noisy that it is irritating. You are close to everything. Ali, the owner is lovely and even walked me to my location when I was afraid I would get lost! The staff is very helpful and the breakfast is ample, with fresh...

The family-owned hotel (four storey building) is located at the Northern outskirts of Stone Town, few minutes walking distance from the Express Ferry dock (Zanzibar harbour). The owner, Mr Ali and his family make you feel at home the moment you check-in at the reception. Reliable booking procedures for the four of us, and instant email feed-back, some 10 days...

Nice and clean budget hotel in walking distance to all spots in Stone Town. Personal and manager are very friendly. AC, fan, WiFi and fridge worked perfectly well in my room. Cozy breakfast on rooftop terrace.

The hotel Funguni Palace is run by friendly and helpful people. It is clean and well located at the edge of Stone town, but off the beaten track. Preis - Leistungs ratio is very good. Facilities are simple but you get everything which is needed. Good breakfast on the roof terrace in the morning. However a "palace" it is not,...

Worse hotel, 1st & foremost it’s in the worse part of Zanzibar. Very dirty, rooms smell, dirty sheets with old beds and mattress. The owner hold your passport on arrival since he knows you will cancel on arrival. When the taxi stopped we didn't believe we have arrived at the hotel. My advice, not Funguni hotel. There is a mosque...
