By far the best place to stay in zanzibar. Although the hotel is newly renovated, the design and atmosphere takes you back to the lavish lifestyles of the sultans that once ruled this island. In short spectacular.

We absolutely loved Jafferji House! We had originally booked 2 nights in the Spice Room (and all of the rooms are lovely, I might add), but we were upgraded to the Jafferji Suite upon arrival! This room is the ultimate retreat. A large room with a king-size bed, a seating area with flat-screen tv, and then...boom! Open the double-doors to...

This is like a lovely hidden treasure in the heart of Stone Town. The decor is AMAZING. I loved my room! Did not even want to leave my room. The management has gone to such great lengths to decorate the place with antique treasures, it really looks balanced and fantastic. The bed was probably the best Swahili bed I have...

Beautiful palace in the middle of stone town. We were upgraded and had the pleasure to stay in the Adnan superior suite, actually the whole place is just flawless and has wonderful, individual rooms. Good breakfast, I can only recommend this hotel.

This hotel is very much like walking to Ali Babas Cave. We found the staff really helpful and the food great. Its well located in the heart of old Stone town and a short walk to the waterfront. Would stay here again and stay longer than 1 night.

We stayed for 2 nights in mid-September 2014. The location of the hotel is very good – right in the centre of Stone Town. We arranged with the hotel for a taxi to pick us up from the airport (for a cost of $24) and we were glad we did as we avoided the hussle of taxi drivers waiting at...

Stayed two night with my wife at this hotel in the heart of Stonetown. The decor and look and feel of this hotel really added to our ZAnzibar experience. The room was huge, well decorated and very cool. The owner's photos dispersed throughout the hotel adds an interesting touch. Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would highly recommend...

This hotel is located in the alleyways of Zanzibar, in an area that can be somewhat noisy, and has no view. The rooms are kind of dark, but this is not all bad because it keeps the rooms cooler in this tropical climate. Decor is rather quirky and each room is different. My major complaint is that service and hospitality...

My wife and I stayed 3-nights, wish it were longer. The General Manager, Donna, is a star, nothing was too much trouble, her well trained staff excelled in every way. Quaint, lovely old rooms so much nicer than the normal modern oblong box. Dinner on the roof top is a must, only followed by the totally relaxing Spa. Anyone seeking...

Just celebrated our wedding anniversary in Tanzania and spent four nights at Jafferji House. Exquisite rooms, personalised touch, great staff. Can't say enough great things about it! Hotel even arranged a wonderful romantic dinner on it's roof top for us and brought a lovely cake to our room. Special thanks to the assistant manager who went out of her way...
