Had delicious dinner at roof top restaurant. Very attentive waiter. Menu offers local dishes with a great choice of fish, sea food, meat and vegetarian options as well. Wine is served by the bottle only. Romantic atmosphere nice. But one should be fit enough to climb the stairs to the top.

Jafferji House is situated on one of the narrow roads in the centre of Stone Town (the old part of Zanzibar city). It is an extremely interesting Omani/Indian house with antiques, photos and very interesting objects all around the place. We had the Jafferji Sultan's suite, with a large bedroom, a small dark bathroom, and a large semi-outside living area...

I loved the atmosphere and it was a cozy place to visit. The scent in the air was aromatic only making my stay more romantic. Princess Salme room was so tidy during my two day visit. A must come back!

Nice rooms, great location. The service looks tailor-made. The hotel is situated in the heart of the stone town and close to all major attraction. You are given a map of the town and no need to be accompanied by a guide. I would recomment to any traveller to Zanzibar, 9/10!

Jafferji is in a brilliant location in the heart of Stone Town, just a few minutes' walk from all the major sites. My room (the Spice Room) was stunning, fully air conditioned with a lovely four poster bed and plenty of space. Breakfast was included and had a good range of options. The staff were all excellent. The only small...

The location is really great; very close to Fordohani garden and other attractions (e.g. Bait Al-ajaib and old fort). The hotel style is amazing with glimpse of Stonetown history. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is good with adequate options. The hotel offers various paid excursions (I took spice and Stowntown tours) for reasonable prices. I got a spice candle...

Booked a room at Jafferji based on a recommendation from a colleague. Was not disappointed. Great rooms with Persian/Arab inspired decor. Rooms make you feel like royalty with large, canopy beds and cultural decor. Cozy and quaint balconies and sitting areas throughout. Stone's throw for major sites. One drawback was that Internet was spotty for 2 out of 3 nights...

This hotel has an amazing position, in the old streets of Stone Town, and a beautiful design. It is exotic, Zanzibar atmosphere is everywhere and the view from the roof top is beautiful. However, breakfast was not great. What is more, this place is not cheap at all, and it is not acceptable that they have major water problems. Water...

This is a great location with views over the rooftops of Stone Town and also to the harbour. Good for a sunset dinner.. Service was friendly but a bit slow as is the custom in Zanzibar we found. Food was good and my wife's kingfish meal was very tasty. Only complain was a very restrictive drinks menu. they had no...
