Stayed here on two separate occasions; the first night on the island and the last. On our first stay my partner and I had to swap rooms as the shower did not work and there was no one available to work. The receptionist moved us to the next room which had two double beds and a single. She checked the...

We stayed her for one night upon arrival in Stonetown and the night preceeding our departure. We had two very different rooms. I can only summise that one has been recently renovated and the other not every! The first room (116) had a big bed and a large bathroom with a huge arabic influenced tiled shower. After days of camping...

Low average hotel for what you pay, cold showers (our third floor room), far from shops and restaurants, hidden neighbourhood, very poor breakfast, wifi doesn't work in the rooms (our room third floor) and wifi very limited in the lobby, clean rooms and bathrooms and close to the port. With this price there are much better hotels inside the busy...

Great budget option not far from the port. Clean, good customer service, large shower with plenty of hot water, breakfast on the roof top with eggs made your way, the first floor has better rooms as they are recently renovated. You can get free wifi inside the rooms on the first floor. Staff was so amazing, that one of them...

Worst stay ever. We lost money in their safe storage and they refused to compensate. So we cannot recomend to stay here. Exept for the hotel we had a great stay in Stonetown and a lovely week at Jambiani beach.

Like the town, this hotel is a maze... I needed help to find my room!! There was no wifi but most of the cafes had it in Stone Town. Staff were mostly friendly if and when you could tear their attention away from the reception television and they did provide a map when I asked. In regards to the room......

After crossing to Zanzibar by ferry, we stayed in this hotel. It is in the quaint and narrow streets of Stone Town. Get an address card when you arrive as you will get lost. It is handy to the wharf area and is easy walk. The room was quite good with an operating air conditioner. It was a little musty....

This was part of an intrepid trip. It was hidden away in the narrow streets. It felt run down, our room was in the basement with no daylight. The breakfast was very poor and the wifi barely worked in the reception. I wouldn't rush back.

Would not be back. Its hot the aircon barley works. The shower is cold and the food and breakfast is very very average. Staff were nice though. I'd prefer to stay somewhere along the beach not that far into the town. A fair amount of winding streets to maneuver. Which some if my group couldn't seem to figure out.
