Fantastic location, lovely staff, well equipped, spacious and comfortable rooms. Very nice (though over- chlorinated) pool. Decent restaurant and a fine breakfast spread. The spa facilities are good - I had a very deep massage at a reasonable price. WiFi is fine, the water is hot and the shower has power.

This is a quirky/oddball charming hotel experience. The rooftop garden with the pool is pretty amazing, the pool is a teensy bit murky but it doesn't seem to have done me any harm and the food is pretty good. The rooms have great A/C, they are somewhat dark (most seem not to have external windows) but the location is excellent and the staff are great, they'll book taxis etc and the ambience is generally very friendly. It's all situated around an internal courtyard garden, I wish I could have stayed longer.

Nice location, just 10 mnts from everything in stone town, rooms are spacious and very clean, toilets are also big and clean. The pool was an extra to relax after a working day. Breakfast was complete. I really High recommend this hotel and will come again for sure.

- staff was friendly but directly demanded the tourist fee during checking in - rooms are clean but very dark - breakfast was ok but the cats around are disgusting - please get them out of the area where the tourist are eating!!! They were jumping on the chairs and sometimes even tables and some other very intelligent tourists even started to feed them...well done !!! :( - for those who like Stone Town, this accomodation is located right in the center, but my brother and I couldn't win anything from Stone Town at all - very dirty and filthy town ship with lots of tourist rip off places - construction site right in front of our room

Nice hotel in the middle of Stone Town. An oasis in the middle of town with walking distance to all sights and restaurants. Lovely swimming pool where you can relax after sightseeing. We also enjoyed tasty meals at the restaurant with friendly service. Liked the agency by the entrance who arranged an early transfer to the ferry for us and we enjoyed a 3 hour walking tour with a knowledgeable guide. The only minus was the size of our room - very small but was OK because we did not have much luggage.

This was really small room, and small bathroom that was not clean. It was also not hot water in the shower or the sink. We smelled bad after showering, and felt like it was sea water in the shower. But good location.

Very friendly, clean and comfortable hotel with lots of outside space in the middle of busy Stone Town. The hotel desk and a partnering organization are most helpful in organizing trips and arranging taxi rides.

I hope there was an option for not even giving a rate, Avoid this hotel, DO NOT be fooled, worse they could not even offer a refund booking.com didn’t help much either, the manager couldn’t be bothered, the room was Filthy, I don’t have better words to describe this horrific experience. We had to check out. Never again. It’s like watching a movie Scream but live version, or rather the U-turn movie. ABORT

This is the worst hotel. The hotel facilities are old and filthy dirty. I had an allergic reaction all over my body due to bed bugs at this hotel. We paid for 3 nights and only stayed for 1 because I became ill after staying at this hotel. They refused to refund me for the 2 nights which we could not stay due to the unhygienic beds. Further, the shower floor was sticky and the shower head was mouldy. The toilet was disgusting. They referred me to booking.com who did not help at all. This hotel and booking.com are the worst. Booking.com is not interested in helping the customer. Booking.com needs to conduct due diligence before advertising hotels on its platform and needs to review its policies. Customers should not have to pay for accommodation where their health is being compromised.
