I thought this was an ok option for a budget hotel in Zanzibar town. The rooms were nice and the staff was pretty helpful, but there was a lot of weird stuff like keys not working, lights burning out, and people coming in during the day to spray bug spray in the rooms. Next time I go, I’ll probably pick somewhere else.
It was rly nice and clean place with good staff, good breakfast on the hotel roof with nice view and pool. All the staff is there to help you 0-24 with the Stonetown tours, islands tours and they even arranged a guy to bring us scooter at hotel and even make driving licens for us. So for all the boring things u dont need to waste your time beacuse they will do it all for you😁
The hotel is situated in the heart of stone town, you get to pass through the alleys of Zanzibar while getting to the hotel. Nearby to Forodhani (food market), Cape Town fish market is also a 3 minute walk away. If you want to catch the ferry to the mainland, it’s also just a few minutes walk away. A lot of cafes around. Hotel is clean, friendly staff, good breakfast! Definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Stone Town.
I stayed here after my Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater safari to get some vitamin sea. The hotel is really quite wonderful, the staff was very helpful, and the food and location were excellent. I was working remotely while I was there and had some trouble getting wifi in certain spots but one of the guys from the lobby walked me around all the rooms until we found one with excellent wifi and let me stay in that one rather than the room I originally booked. I would happily stay at this place again!
If you are looking for a hotel in the centre of Stone Town (Zanzibar City) then this is ideal. We stayed on New Year's Eve since there were few other hotels available and were pleasantly surprised! The hotel itself is lovely, and the plunge pool is probably quite refreshing after spending the day in the shops of Stone Town however we didn't actually get the chance to swim in it! The breakfast was fantastic and the views of the town are excellent since it is on the roof. There's a handy luggage room if you have checked out but want to stay in the town for the day and the staff are helpful and happy to help. The room we stayed in was a bit small and it felt a little old fashioned (very frilly mosquito nets)but they were clean enough and we slept well! Also it had a very nice bathroom and all the appliances you would need (hairdryer, kettle, variety of teas, water bottles etc)!…
