Great location - walking distance to everything, but set back from the street in a lovely garden. They met us at the ferry, and we hired their driver to take us on spice tour and to the beach. We loved it from when we first arrived and were met with cold towels and a refreshing ginger drink. Bedrooms had AC,...

Warere Town House is a charming hotel across the pier at the edge of the tourist district. It is within walking distance to the museums. The draw backs are that there is not a paved path to it from the street, nor is there a lift . The staff welcomes you with a cool home mad gingerlade. My room was...

Great value! Cute place. We were greeted with cold towels and juice upon arrival and the front desk staff were very helpful with maps, taxis and restaurant recommendations. Rooms had AC, were clean and comfortable and cheap! Great location, 5 minute walk from ferry. We booked via email; they responded promptly and everything was as they said it would be...

I spent one night in Stone Town and really enjoyed the service and the room itself at Warere. The room was very comfortable and the hotel is beautiful - I loved the rooftop terrace. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always willing to assist with directions around Stone Town as well as booking tours. As checkout was...

Stone town is mayhem and we were nervous about our accommodation but this place was fantastic. The maps make it look further out than it is but it's only a few minutes walk to all the action. The staff were fantastic from the moment they greeted us and the room far exceeded our expectations. Ask for room 17!

From the moment I found Warere online I knew it was the place I wanted to stay at in Stone Town and it certainly didn't disappoint. I was travelling on my own and booked a night at Warere for the last night of a long trip through East Africa. I booked one of the balcony rooms and it was lovely,...

I enjoyed my stay at Warere Town House, including airport collection, both on arrival in Stone Town and again on my return from the east coast. The location isn't in the very heart of the town, but it's within walking distance of everywhere and very close to Mercury's, the fab sunset venue named after the lead singer of Queen, born...

Stayed 6 night recently. Very happy, it's cheap, simple and clean. Great staff and helpful. Rooms are small but I was solo and barely spent time there. Its a little far from town but still reasonable location. Very pleased with warere overall.

This hotel was way above our expectations. Refreshing cold towels and a fruit juice on arrival. Clean spacious room with a little bacony. Bed was quite high up but reasonably comfortable. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and organised a spice tour for us as well as letting us store our bags there while on the tour after we had checked...

It's a beautiful little place, and very close to the ferry; a little distant from Stonetown restaurants and shops. Our major problem was the young man managing the day-to-day operations. He seems to have a problem with honesty. He lied to us numerous times and tried to over-charge us by $20 USD. The manager was unavailable repeatedly throughout a 24...

Dear Michael K, Thank you for your comments. The “young man” you refer to has been with us for three years and I can assure you that in all that time he has proved to be a formidably honest, hardworking employee. You booked your room through booking.com and reserved a SINGLE room. When you arrived you came with your wife....
