Arriving here for the last 5 days of our 14 day safari we soon realised this place was special. You can do what you want, when you want, with who you want, no problem. The guide we had was amazing, he had great knowledge and, like us, enjoyed experiencing what ever can our way, we saw vultures in action, giraffe...

We had a 4 night stay. The rooms were well placed and very comfortable. Food and staff were excellent. Hot water took a bit of time to arrive but it always did arrive. General facilities were lovely and the pool was a welcome cooling off point.

A great location, where we saw an amazing variety of wildlife during our stay. We were lucky enough to get the Head Guide, Frank, who is an absolutely fount of knowledge about every specimen of fauna and flora large or small. Truly impressive, and he really looked after us. The main lodge area is large and comfortable with lots of...

This luxury camp is located on the Rufiji river teeming with hippos, easily seen and heard from your tent veranda. The tents are large with screening all around, very comfortable beds, hot showers, unique bathroom decor, great views of river, and beautifully furnished verandas that wrap around the tent which allow you to spend time just relaxing and enjoying surroundings....

The vastness of the open grasslands, with nothing but nature, brings peace and much reflection on slowing down and appreciating the beauty nature has to offer. The smoke plumes of many a fire...

Rufiji for us was perfect in every respect. It is in within walking distance of the airstrip (yes, transport is provided!). It is in an unsurpassed position overlooking the Rufiji river (think Zambezi, not a nearly dried up watercourse). It is well appointed but not pretentious – therefore perhaps not for you if you really want “posh safari”. The staff...

This was our first ever Safari and it totally exceeded our expectations, we were warmly welcomed by Peta the Manager and after a quick briefing and a refreshing drink we were shown to our cabin, we had seen pictures of the cabins however, I was still pleasantly surprised just wonderful! We went on a boat safari that afternoon and saw...

We stayed for 4 nights last week. We have never been on safari before so we had done a lot of research before booking. We chose Selous Reserve as it has most of the big 5 and has not become too busy. We chose well and saw lions, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, elephants etc. As soon as you get the the...
