Beautiful lodge on top of the escarpment looking out at the Rift valley and Lake Manyara. The bar is like being in a treehouse. Excellent meals and wonderful staff. Loved the combination of canvas tent with stone and tiled bathrooms.

We stayed here twice and both times we had a place with beautiful views of the valley below. This place is much more than a tented camp; the rooms may have canvas walls but the door frames are wooden and the rooms have beautiful bathrooms and excellent plumbing (continuous hot water at great pressure). There is a very comfortable restaurant...

The rooms are very run down with mosquito nets having holes and the bathroom are run down. The views for the rooms along the rim of the hill are awesome but does not make up...

The Masai Night watch, escorting us after dark was a nice touch as this place is isolated. The food was fine and the staff helpful. The wifi was quite strong in the lobby area only. Unlike Kenya, Tanzania had lights running all night. The rooms were quite comfortable

THe view is fabulous. THe service questionable. We arrived in mid afternoon and the tent was all zipped up. I didn't realize it would unzip and we were beyond miserable with the heat - no fan. Internet spotty and very basic.

The rooms are very run down with mosquito nets having holes, the bathroom in desperate need of a renovation and no safe deposit box in the room. Due to the rooms being tents you get woken up by the sound of the mosque and a 15 minute prayer. Further the sound of the rooms travel quite a bit. On a...

Isolated on a ledge above Lake Manyara, Kirurumu Tented Lodge offered a great, isolated experience. The rooms were not true tents, but rather had concrete floors, thatched roofs, wood framing and canvas walls. The canvas walls allowed you to easily hear all the random wildlife outside at night. Some signs of wear and tear in the furnishings were present (for...

Stayed here for one night as part of our Tanzanian safari. Kirurumu is a small tented lodge about half an hour from Lake Manyara national park. The road to get to the lodge is very bumpy, so be prepared for that "african massage". The tents are spacious and beautifully appointed, some have views of the lake in the distance. The...

We had tent no. 30 - the last one, so a bit to go there, but with a marvelous sight. Good comfort in the tents, a nice open air bar and restaurant, friendly staff, internet only at reception area. To come to the camp, makes an effort. However, it is worth it!
