Not much to do in vicinity. Hotel was outdated but service was great. All staff were friendly and positive. Breakfast was sufficient. Pool was well maintained. Place seems to be a popular spot for travelers. Pool room was very humid and hot. Opening windows would have helped. When coming into opposite entrance ( when raining) I slipped on tile floors. It was the area in between black carpet and door. I hit the floor pretty hard with my left knee. I don't know if they have cameras but, the rug didn't get moved closer. I'm glad I didn't break anything - for both of our sake. Everything else was great.
We (family of 4, including 2 teens) booked two adjoining rooms for our vacation to the Thousand Islands area. The location suited our needs. Yes, we had to drive to the areas on the lake and river, but we did not find this to be a big inconvenience, and we would have been driving to explore other areas no matter where we stayed. All hotel employees were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant had a nice continental breakfast spread as well and a good breakfast menu. These were not included in our room rate, but we knew that going in and were just happy they were serving breakfast at all being that many hotels are not. We did not use the pool but they do have a small pool area that was not crowded at all anytime we passed by. The gym was adequate as far as equipment, and it was kept cool, which is a plus. Some places keep their fitness centers way too warm for exercising.Rooms were very clean, water pressure was great, hotel was quiet during our stay, and beds/pillows were comfortable. In room fridge and microwave were a plus, and since the hotel was near grocery stores, we were easily able to fill up a cooler with what we needed for a day out on the water when we rented a boat. For us, this hotel had everything we needed, and was a pleasant place to stay. I would definitely stay here again.…
The easy part of the review is the hotel was clean; provided ample parking and was located close to Fort Drum. The indoor pool and hot tub was a perfect activity, after a long drive. The restaurant served all meals that were delicious. However, it was how the staff handled challenges that scored a 5/5 rating! Dana (front desk) was responsive, friendly and empathetic to our needs throughout the evening when I notified her that my daughters family had a medical emergency before leaving for the 4 hr drive to the hotel making their arrival time uncertain. I kept Dana appraised of the situation, making frequent visits to the front desk and finally canceled their room. We demagnetized our room cards several times and had a problem with the TV which were all solved within minutes by cheerful staff. I told Dana we were worried about all getting into Ft Drum in time for my grandsons graduation ceremony in the morning. Dana reassured me and cheerfully offered constructive advice about access to the Ft Drum Visitors Center. Because of her patience and empathy, we all arrived on time to view the graduation! I highly recommend staying at this hotel!…
Nice facility, friendly staff. Breakfast and restaurant was nice and good service and food. Only item I do not like is the new request to have room made verses daily room quick clean and making of bed. Seems to be a cost cutting by Hilton which is too bad.
Can’t go wrong with Hilton Garden inn when you stay you bet ya will have a very comfortable stay with piece of mind my kids and I had a gymnastics competition meet we arrived early to enjoy hot tub and swimming pool also by far most convenient wireless key entry to the rooms thank you Hilton Garden Inn…..
Welcoming staff. Nice grounds. Gym and pool. Excellent food at the restaurant. Made my business trip an easy. Will visit this location again for sure. Didn’t pack for the amenities, but will indeed next time.
Hotel staff members are welcoming, gracious, helpful and wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, clean. The hotel is kept so clean and sanitized it sparkles. Food is delicious. We had a wonderful long-term stay, love the staff as family.
Room was clean and the breakfast and the bar area were enjoyable. We met friends there but weren’t spending much time there. No one cleaned our room or restocked the supplies. Wished they had a freezer. I thought if they had continental breakfast out it is usually part of the price. But it was only available if you purchased a breakfast which made no sense.
Staff was very friendly especially housekeeping and maintenance staff. Resturant was well above the average hotel quality and staff was very nice there as well. Will stay there again on future trips to Watertown.
The Hilton Garden Inn in Watertown is great. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant offers all meals as well as room service and the food is very tasty. The staff are all very helpful and easy to work with. Overall a great stay.
