You will not find a more accommodating staff than the employees of the Allen motel. This motel operates as most those from years past. It not only caters to the Military Base close by. But to annual Businesspeople like myself who gets four rooms during the Jefferson County Fair each year, but many a traveler looking for a clean place to stay. The price is reasonable, and food and shopping are close by. You get your monies worth at Allen's. Not Fancy or a big chain, but comfortable. Take it from me I stay about 75 days a year in hotels.

It's been a few years now that we head over to the Watertown area to see if we can get some decent deals. Why spend crazy money on a place to stay when you can stay at Allen's Motel. It's not a five star place but it is clean, inexpensive and easy access to get all our shopping done. Again, if you are fussy about staying in something fancy then this is not the place for you BUT it's a great deal. We will be going back!

The room was very small, no Kleenex, no hair dryer, no shampoo, 1/2 used roll of toilet paper. We stayed one night. It was quiet and clean and the front desk was helpful, but we will spend a little bit more money to stay in a nicer place next time.

My husband and I stayed at Allen's Budget Motel last night on our way to the Adirondacks. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the place was clean and nice. And there was no lack of outlets for our smart phones, tablets and CPAPs - a delightful surprise, as this can be an issue in older properties. The staff was friendly and courteous. We would definitely stay here again if we have an overnight in Watertown. Also there is a great diner nearby where we had breakfast.

My husband and I stayed on a mini vacation, we wanted to find an old fashion motel after having so many really bad experiences at Hotels. I am so glad my husband found this gem! It was so easy to find. The rooms are reasonably priced, and extremely clean. The bathroom was updated and sparkled. We could not hear any noises from the other rooms next to us, (well insulated walls). The owners were exceptionally friendly and down to earth. I wasn't afraid of walking out my door as with other Hotel chains. We had a 2 double bed room with a mini refrigerator, microwave, sink to wash any dishes. The WIFI worked excellent. Who needs restaurants and bars on site when you can get a piece of mind? Wonderful people, wonderful price, reminded me of when I was young. Thank-you Denny and Karen! We will be back.

Stayed here prior to a shopping trip. Worth the money. Like taking a trip into the 70s but overall, I'd stay again. The service was good... The attendant was nice and the WiFi worked great. It's close to downtown without the downtown price and only an hour from Syracuse.

I was a little nervous picking this spot to stop for the night given I did not know the area or the motel. I was pleasantly surprised however. By the name, it offers very good pricing for the night. The motel is well run and has been well maintained. Clear to see this. I was very happy with my room and stay. The room had a fridge, microwave and decent TV - wifi was also available and included. Key for me was it was clean. It was also very close the jump on the highway to finish my trip. Gas was close by, a local diner plus a decent convenience store that was part of one of the gas stations. I would not hesitate to tay here again.

My family of four stayed in a Kitchenette here while visiting family in Watertown. We booked the hotel on short notice after experiencing some major issues with another hotel, and got an unbeatable weekly rate. The kitchenette includes a stove with oven, full size refrigerator, sink, cupboards, and small table for two. A separate living area included a pull out couch, desk, end tables, coffee table, and TV. The bedroom had a large closet, TV, queen sized bed and dresser, with the option to close off the room from the living area. The bathroom included the usual amenities, including a full tub with shower and plenty of shelving for towels. It was like staying in a small apartment for the week, which was perfect for our family. The furniture is a little dated, but everything was very clean and worked great. Longways (a truck-stop and diner) is located just down the street, and a Super Wal-Mart is only 3 miles from the hotel. There are several stores and restaurants only minutes away from the Motel. What sets Allen's Budget Motel apart is the staff. They were incredibly friendly, flexible and helpful. Although we opted not to have fresh linens daily, they removed our trash daily and provided us with fresh towels whenever asked. But they really raised the bar AFTER our visit. We left in a bit of a hurry and I somehow left a pair of diamond earrings in our room. We called the hotel and one of the staff members searched the room until she found them, under the dresser, and then arranged for a family member to pick them up. Sadly, many other staff at other hotels could have simply pocketed the earrings. For this reason, as well as the exceptional service and value, we have become lifelong customers, and look forward to our next stay the next time we visit our family in my hometown.
