Everything from start to finish was incredible. I had high expectations of this hotel as had heard good things but was not expecting such fine attention to detail. The hotel was full, but never felt busy and was spread out nicely to feel like you were away from others, whilst still achieving atmosphere. The staff knew my name and addressed me personally almost throughout, and were very friendly, but also incredibly efficient. I didn't have to ever follow up on anything in any of the restaurants - and the breakfast was incredible every morning. We tried something different every day - eggs with Caviar, truffle infused omelette and local Kreole Benedict - were all outstanding. Each venue had local elements, fused with the orgin of the restaurant. A personal favorite staff wise of mine was James in Kokoyo - you were fabulous! But as was the whole team! I do not normally do Trip Advisor reviews, but felt the need to for this special hotel! Thanks Mango House for an amazing stay and I hope to be back very soon!!

Just checked out of the wonderful Mango House resort in Mahe, Seychelles. Wow. So this property is less than 30 days from its opening but what a great job Sasha and her team have done. A big shout out to a few staff. Valentine (thank you!), James and Saviona in Kokye (great rum), Elsa at checkout, and all the special personalities that filled our days with great service and welcoming spirit. Really nothing at all to say that is negative but thought I’d share a few quick thoughts: - could use an additional waste can in the room (only one small one in the bathroom). - perhaps more ambient foot lighting up the back Cliff House steps - loved the whole “House” concept including the LPs and player (keep going Carlos). - great pool amenities!!!!! - food was awesome and drink options plentiful (another shout out to Alex and the rum bar Kokye). - and the tiniest suggestion…a lighter font for the staff’s name on their name tag as it blended with the background. That’s it. THANK YOU! See you again.

You might say that it’s easy to get impressed by luxury at its finest. However, although we don’t travel for a living, we have seen quite a few luxury resorts and hotels in many parts of the world. Many have given us that “Wow!” moment. Yet, the Mango House sets new standards when it comes to exceeding expectations! The resort is new and only opened in July 2021. We (that means I, it was a surprise for my wife’s birthday) booked the trip in January 2021 after I read the news about this very exciting addition to the Hilton LXR brand. We did expect some teething problems considering the recent opening, but Sasha Tyas and her team has done an amazing job getting the property up to speed in a such a short time. Nonetheless, although flaws were few they were noted. Anyway, let’s get started. Usually in this category hotel I would be approached via e-Mail before arrival to make any arrangements beforehand. However, in this case I had to take the initiative myself to get in touch with the crew to get information on, and book activities, dining, and airport transfer. Anyway, once I got in touch with the team, they were very helpful. So, with the scene set we arrived at around 11 am. The check in process was smooth and the staff was well informed about our arrival. To be noted here however, is that American Express is not (yet) accepted at the property. Now things started to get really sweet. Not only was the room available for early check in but the upgrade blew us away! As a Diamond member I usually get a one or two category upgrade, but our room turned out to be a huge cliff suite with a generous balcony! Amazing views over a blue bay and a bottle of wine and snacks welcomed us. An infinity pool exclusive to cliff room residents stood at our disposal. Holiday, here we come! The Mango House is a gourmet paradise. The first night we spent at the Italian restaurant. Food and service was amazing. The breakfast the next day was also great and we spent the day just sucking in the smooth breeze and the soothing sound of the waves. But the evening was the real surprise. In the evening the crew had organized a beautiful romantic birthday dinner on the balcony outside the cocktail bar with a gorgeous view of the sunset. The food and the service were spectacular. Everything from fresh seafood including lobster to local specialties like breadfruit and octopus. The only thing was that it was more than we could handle. But the staff happily packed the leftovers for the next day. Thanks to Brigitte and the whole team for organizing everything. The only problem was that the next day, housekeeping took away all the leftover food from our room. However, they happily invited us to a free room service lunch as compensation. The cocktail bar was also amazing with Alex’s innovative creations, many based on the excellent local Takamaka rum. The next evening, we tried the Japanese restaurant and Alexis made us an awesome creation of select Japanese specialties. The local Sashimi is highly recommended. The Wagyu was cooked to perfection and also, we got an extra treat of Tempura on the house. My wife soon discovered that Moutya restaurant and once again the team managed to exceed our expectations. Ralph, Kamlisc and the team delivered on several occasions the most delicious seafoods (with rice, very important for my Asian wife!). They also served delicious pizza with full of toppings. The place, the vibes, the view makes you want to stay there forever. The Soley pool bar had an amazing view and very attentive staff. They make very good cocktails as well. The spa had a very beautiful view but the treatment itself was not that exceptional. Theres only one person working there, which means that she can't answer the phone all the time for inquiries. The lazy guest (yes, that includes us!) will appreciate the prompt and friendly buggy service. We also went outside the hotel and Berntrund (driver) gave us a fantastic tour of the local beaches; highly recommended. On the last night of our stay, we got an amazing surprise with the personal greetings from Annie (she´s really a sweetheart). Lastly, we were amazed by the most generous late check out we´ve ever experienced by Hilton Group. We were also given a framed picture from our romantic dinner. Now even the sun has shadows and besides the flaws I already mentioned a few more things need improvement: The Wi-Fi coverage is not optimal. For example, the Wi-Fi reception on our otherwise amazing balcony was bad to non-existent. More repeaters are needed. The warm water in the shower was not working one morning, and it took a couple of hours before it was back. Also, there was a miscommunication regarding a Covid test for our return flight. We were told by the front desk that we needed one, so we did get (and paid for) it. At check-in it however it turned out that we did not need it since we were already fully vaccinated. My advice is to check with the airline directly and disregard any other information you might get. That said, the overall impression is a solid 5 star! All in all, Mango House set new standards when it comes to exceeding guest expectations. I’m sure the flaws that I mentioned have already been rectified by the time you read this, and we are very much looking forward to coming back. Our sincere thanks to whole team for making our stay so amazing!

The hotel is in a good but not spectacular location, mainly because the beaches are very small and the bay not as incredibly pretty as others on the islands. The hotels is very nicely designed. The outstanding part is the service in the restaurant, where especially Abdul, but also Zaur and Alexis do a great job welcoming guest and remembering likes and dislikes from previous visits. The food was excellent too. Some of the best service in a long time!

I have had absolutely lovely dining experiences at Mango House! As a local living here, I really appreciate that they welcome the public to dine at their property! My first experience was dinner at the Japanese restaurant Azido. We loved the selection of rolls we picked, the sushi tacos, and the Waygu A5 sukiyaki. The chef was so welcoming and friendly to explain the sukiyaki preparation! Thanks Chef Alex! My next visit was the Italian restaurant Muse- so good! We loved the hand made pizza, grilled octopus, squid pasta, and the very entertaining and delicious tiramisu presented by the head chef ( I think his name is Carmine?). All in all both were fabulous experiences and a great addition to our island dining- I can’t wait to return and try more! Merci beaucoup !
