Le Saly Hotel & Hotel Club Filaos garners praise for its festive and welcoming ambiance, though the nearby nightlife may disrupt the peace for some. Guests consistently commend the hotel's cleanliness, from the well-kept rooms to the pristine pools. While the amenities, including a clean beach and diverse dining options, are generally appreciated, limited deckchair availability and some dated features have been noted. Opinions on value are divided, with the cost of certain services and overbooking causing concern for some, even as others feel they receive their money's worth. The staff is recognized for their attentive and friendly service, although there have been occasional slips in organization. Room experiences range, with clean and comfy accommodations often mentioned, alongside some reports of aging interiors and cleanliness issues in more cramped spaces.

Superb hotel, the staff are friendly, helpful and always attentive.
The catering is excellent, never twice the same thing, fresh produce, lots of very well cooked fish.
Heated swimming pool, bar and drinks at the top too.
Room large enough and bedding good. Small negative points: we hear the noise from the restaurants and the city center right next door depending on where we are staying and also the lack of terrace for the rooms.
Very well located on the beach with direct access with quite a few deckchairs around the swimming pool and on the beach and direct access to the town of Saly and its shops.
Hoping to be able to return soon.
Thanks also to the top Marmara entertainment team!

The hotel is divided into 2 parts the saly part where it is quiet for people who want to rest and the Filao part where all the activities are done. we slept in the part Saly small typical house of senegal. You can travel and dine according to your desires, either quiet side saly or lively side filaos, there is a restaurant the sea effect with an extra charge or you eat on the beach I advise you because it is a very nice experience.
nothing to say about this hotel, the staff is very friendly and caring, we eat well and varied you really have to be difficult not to find your happiness, we stayed 9 days and we could eat differently every day😉 thanks to the surface technician for the cleanliness of our rooms, thanks to this great entertainment team (kylian, sleep, ocean, Tony, polo, renzo, zal, mama .....) without them nothing would have been the same😉 thanks also to the shadowy staff (night guard for security, we often forget them and yet they do a great job both during the day and at night) I think of Henry who was our favorite.. if we had to return to Senegal it is without hesitation that we will return to this hotel.

The only negative point is the noise of the mosque at 5:00 am but you get used to it quickly and the noise of discos but nothing to have with the hotel c is because it is in town.

Friendly and family hotel, we eat well, the waiters for the restaurant part top..
The rooms on the Filaos side are larger than those on the Saly side, if you don't want to be too exposed to the noise of the disco outside the hotel, it's better to choose Saly, provided you're lucky and find an available place, or put the TV on while sleeping!! That said, it's a club, we're also here to have fun......
The animations are correct, without being great shows, but there are always games and activities to ensure a good atmosphere. The pools are very nice: Saly calm, Filaos animation. You can enjoy the facilities of both hotels. The beach: it is almost impossible to find a place, because the deckchairs are booked very early by the people who put their towels down, we were able to enjoy it only once, too bad you have to plan more deckchairs.....
This is a good Marmara club.

A club complex where you should not go on holiday as a German with little or no knowledge of French;
Hotel was 98% occupied by French-speaking guests, except we were a German couple with grandchildren on site:
Animation was in French, all menus and notices were in French;
To call our room very simple is already an upgrade; the toilet, for example, was a 75 cm wide hose with an unattached toilet;
overall the room is in need of renovation;
the food offered a good choice, however, any meat was "dead cooked" and thus very dry, the vegetables were very soft;
the waiters and other staff do their job, but without any passion, you almost get the impression that the job is a punishment....
The staff at the bar are very busy with themselves, guests sometimes have to wait, even if there is nothing to do...
the glasses and cups at the bar were very often not completely clean;
Beach is ok, clean and fine sandy, the sea is murky and cold, bathing shoes sinf recommended, as a lot of shells and shell residue in the beachfront area;
left and right in sight on the beach are two sewer pipes coming from the hotel complexes...
for the bath towels is a deposit of 10 euros each, towels can be changed twice a week (if there are any)....
by and large not worth the money, we will never come back!

Our stay was 9 nights at the Filaos club. It is true that the facilities are aging and the environment is noisy on this side with late entertainment, that our room also had no exterior but I want to stress the cleanliness of the rooms, the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff.
Even if we didn’t benefit much, the beach was monitored and cleaned every day.
We have made several visits with Senegal Excursions and these will have been a success in every respect with beautiful encounters combining authenticity and knowledge of the history of emblematic places of Senegal.
Many emotions between joy for the Bandia reserve, sadness and respect for the island of Gorée, admiration for the knowledge to live together for the island of shellfish.
We recommend this local agency very professional.

First of all, it should be noted that the Saly was closed for work. Only the Filaos hotel was open.
The positive points: The quality of the rooms meets the expectations of a 4* in Africa. It's very simple but the bedding is comfortable. Be careful though because some rooms near the village are extremely noisy, the group from a nightclub restaurant is formidable! The hotel staff is friendly, there is a good quality of service and the entertainment team is dynamic and very friendly.
The major negative points:
- the quality and diversity of the food. Here we are very, very far from expectations, both for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- the swimming pool is unsuitable for the hotel's occupancy and we very often had the feeling of a crowded municipal swimming pool.
- the beach is very dirty.
- the all inclusive is not up to standard either, the quality of the drinks offered is more than mediocre, there is no snack, the afternoon snack is limited to cake and the aperitif to Low-end kibble.
We knew that we were leaving in the low season and despite everything the climate was acceptable with some rain but overall the 2 weeks were sunny.
Concerning the environment of the hotel, the fishing village is very pleasant and we met some great people there even if "working" the tourist is a local sport. I unreservedly recommend the services of BAMBA and ABDOULAYE who were able to provide us with magnificent excursions at reasonable prices.
The stay at FILAOS will remain disappointing in the end, largely due to the mediocrity of the food.

Great location. Nice beach. The staff and animation team very friendly. Sahim the delegate listening to customers and very considerate.
The spacious and comfortable rooms. On the other hand, some nights are difficult to sleep before dawn because you hear the music from the disco outside the resort. And it is unfortunate that drinks from the bar are never cold, hot beer is undrinkable. It is a shame that there is no draft beer, only served in bottles by the glass. The refrigerators can't refresh the beer delivered daily by crates in the late morning. The Chef’s rest days are noticeable, the dishes are not very hot, and the presentation leaves much to be desired. Meals, however, remain generally correct.
The excursions offered by the hotel are nice, but the price is high. Guides from outside, like PICASSO, are great, and charge lower rates and make you discover Senegal with the heart.

Stay from January 8 to 29, four of us left in good health and all returned sick. A large part of the customers caught the tourista and that tourista Meat not cooked enough and very poorly cut and nervous, the cats around the table feasted, lasagna all soft and not appetizing, very greasy cuisine, dishes always cold or slightly lukewarm, it looks like it was reheated. Rice and cold pasta and so on....We met the assistant manager of the hotel who is from Guadeloupe and for 5 months at the hotel recognized that the meat was very poorly cut and very greasy cuisine. One evening, seeing a pork roast, wanting a slice, the waiter cut the roast in two, which collapsed like a sock filled with minced meat, spreading out in the dish that I didn't want anyway. La tourista delights the pharmacist who is 100m from the hotel. No lid on the dishes. With a temperature of 39 to 40 degrees felt, imagine the buffet, even the uncovered starters. The pancakes in the morning were not cooked. Regarding the bar and restaurant staff, always friendly and smiling, as well as the cleaning staff. the animators at the top. The biggest downside is the catering. Having made around ten stays with Marmara, this one is the highlight, does not deserve 4 stars but rather 2 stars. No offense to anyone who finds me harsh and unfair, unfortunately it is the truth. Lack of cooking. We will not return to this hotel. The deputy director has been informed. If you want a very good tourist experience go to FILAOS you will not be disappointed. For excursions go to Paco the fisherman tel 77 553 39 55 which is on the beach about 400m out on the left, cheaper than the hotel.

The reception at the hotel is not warm. First, they wanted to give me a room at the back without a terrace. When I insisted - as booked - on a terrace, I was told the booked room was not yet prepared and I had to wait 3 hours. Then I was given the key to a room where other guests were staying. After another wait of 4 hours I was finally given a room, but again without a terrace. And each time I had to drag the suitcase or drag it back. My "real" room with terrace I could then move into one and a half days after my arrival. The lady at the reception is unhelpful and also unfriendly. The rest of the staff speak no or hardly any English and are not concerned with understanding guests who do not speak French. There was also no information on arrival regarding meal times, wifi, towels etc. The all inclusive drinks were of inferior quality (beer and wine OK, cocktails poor). The hotel's beachfront location and the quality and choice of food (positively surprised for Africa) are positive.

We had a great stay with family. The food was varied and it was very hearty. We have never eaten so much very good fish (monkfish, sole, mullet) as well as shrimp and gambas. The desserts are very varied and we feasted.
Rooms were very clean and towels changed every day if necessary.
We thank our representative VOYAMAR Mr Bouba Sadji who was present every day at the hotel to check on us and who offered us excellent excursions to discover Senegal.
There is a black spot and this concerns the sharing of deckchairs on the beach and pool. Everything is taken before 9am by people whose presence will not be seen during the day. You have to think of other people who paid for their stay like them and want to enjoy the beach and the pool.
A thank you to ALL STAFF for their competence, availability and kindness.
