Just returned from a great two weeks at this small friendly hotel. The grounds were immaculately maintained a massive well done to the gardeners. Our room was a superior one so had tea and coffee making facilities a fridge and a small seating area. The rooms were spotless and towels changed regularly. We were half board, breakfast was really good with a wide choice including fresh fruit, pastries and omelettes cooked to order. I am a veggie so unfortunately very little choice available on the set menu at dinner but staff were really helpful (esp Alfonso) and went out of their way to make sure I didn’t go hungry. Great selection of puddings. The hotel is not on the beach but you are very very near. We didn’t get hassled at all on the short walk there or on the beach. Local people did say hello but never felt hassled in any way. Swimming pool area well maintained with lots of sunbeds. There was entertainment ever night which was pleasant and prompted lots of guests to dance. Would definitely recommend for a quiet relaxing holiday in really pleasant surroundings

The hotel is well maintained and the rooms clean and very spacious. The restaurant, where we had breakfast and dinner, offers interesting proposals with well-kept plating; every evening live musical entertainment and dinner by the pool, have brightened our end of the day. Staff attentive and friendly. Watch out for extras that are generally expensive! Guests of the property are mainly French-speaking.
The days were also enlivened by organized excursions with Senegal Excursions contacted from Italy, where the owner Fatou and the guide Joseph, who speaks French, English and Spanish, fully satisfied our requests and were attentive to our every need.... absolutely to contact if you want to visit Senegal, both north and south.
I would return to the facility and contact Senegal Excursions again.

Rarely during our various trips, we were received in a hotel with so much human warmth. At the Neptune, you feel like home and you are pampered throughout the day. From the housekeeper, through the bartenders, the waiters, the kitchen crew, the welcome, the beach staff, the maintenance staff and even the management, all are great and above all the services are largely up to standard. This hotel is to be classified among the great for its comfort and cleanliness and what to say about the restaurant that really has nothing to envy to many so-called gourmet restaurants in France.

Hotel is located between Saly and Mbour in an exclusive location near the beach. The hotel is clean with a nice garden and pool area. The room is very basic, the Satellite TV is just news channels, and basically furnished..The breakfast is extremely limited to eggs, French patisseries, and cereals. The evening meal on half board is inevitably rice and fish..It's very disappointing considering the price paid by me.. Evening entertainment is a local group of musicians..Not bad, but a bit repetitive..More thought and variation is required in this establishment..I would say that they put in the minimum effort required.. They need some experienced international management..

We spent 2 weeks here in January and very much enjoyed our stay. We were on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis
Our bedroom was a bit in need of an update but nevertheless a good standard. It had a huge comfortable bed and a large bathroom with excellent shower. There was a table, chairs, storage space, a tv (2 English speaking channels), a fridge and tea and coffee
The grounds were really lovely with lots of trees, shrubs and flowers. The dining and swimming pool (good size) areas were very good. There were plenty comfortable sun beds around the pool. There was also a table tennis table. You could eat indoors or outdoors and we always chose the latter. I was less impressed with the bar area which was ok but could have been improved
The food was excellent, well prepared and very well presented with a decent choice. I'm a pescatarian so was ok as there was plenty of fish. A vegetarian would have struggled a bit. In fact early on I had a vegetarian salad and it came with chicken!! which was thought to be fine by the staff. I had a little chat with the head waiter who was brilliant and he assured me there would be no further problem, and there wasn't. (Thank you)
The private beach was 2 minutes walk away and again there were plenty comfortable sunbeds plus shade available. The beach is beautiful with really good quality soft sand
I'd like to give special mention to the staff who cleaned the rooms. Thank you they were kept spotless. Also the staff who looked after the gardens, not a weed in sight
Most of the reception staff were friendly and helpful although a couple less so
We travelled with Tui and I'd also like to thank the Tui rep Valarie who was really friendly and helpful

3-week stay at the Neptune Hotel that we already knew. All the staff is very attentive to you. A professional, efficient and dynamic team, led by Stéphanie who is equally charming and attentive to her customers. The food is excellent and varied and every evening we dine to the music and Senegalese songs that still ring in our ears. The pool is very large and heated. No false notes, you can go with your eyes closed. We thank Hamad, Jean Jo, Charles, Kady, Viviane, Hamsa, Abdulai, Junior (and I must forget some) for their welcome and kindness and we say to them next year.

If you want to stay in an African themed hotel, Neptune is for you.
It is a very good hotel that is closer to the beach (5 minutes walk) and not far from town. What I personally like about the hotel is the authentic African decor and theme across the board.
On food, it is an a la carte style of catering for the three meals. If you want something else, you will have to pay for it, like lobster, pasta etc. In the morning, they have a good omelette maker person. The bar is of nice standard.

Beautiful boutique hotel situated very close to the beach that met all our needs. Staff were very pleasant and always tried their best to sort out any problems or issues. Gorgeous pool, lovely breakfast and evening meal each day Always enough sun loungers for everyone. Any trips you need ask for Arona Sarr who maybe found outside the hotel, just ask security to call for him, you really can’t go wrong and he will give you the real Senegal experience his knowledge is priceless and value for money and even went the extra mile by arranging a surprise cake for my wife’s birthday. He was great fun and we enjoyed his company and have now made a true friend from Senegal. Well done Arrona

Enchanting stay at the Neptune hotel. Very warm welcome. The room is spacious, well furnished and the air conditioning is perfect. The maintenance staff are attentive and charming. The large swimming pool gives you the opportunity to do some great lengths. The restaurant: varied, local cuisine of excellent quality. You will enjoy fresh grilled fish, Thi boudienne and other refined dishes. The team is at the top, always available, attentive, you just have to indulge your greed... The perfect bar with a great selection of drinks. A perfect vacation, we highly recommend. Thanks again to the director who is someone who cares about your comfort. We will come back ! Francine and Yves

Our villa had an outdoor sitting area with table and umbrella. Inside it had a double bedroom downstairs and a veranda/balcony twin bedroom upstairs. Villa had plenty of space!
There are more places to choose from in the Mbour area.
