Spent 2 weeks here recently and cannot think of anything negative to say about the hotel, staff, food. Never had such caring, pleasant and sociable staff, who help you if needed. Lots of staff around all day making sure your holiday is the best it can be. We'll kept grounds with lots of palm trees and greenery. Very comfortable rooms, clean towels every day, and sheets. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The staff in the reception were very friendly and welcome us well. They talked to us during our stay to ensure a pleasant stay. We had a great family room with pool view where we could sit and enjoy evening after children went to bed. There is 3 bigger pools and one pool for children at the hotel. The bar had a lot to choose from and their staff was always happy and relaxed. Only improvement is more variety in food during dinner, if having all inclusive and to have customised food for children.

A long awaited trip to Mauritius and we booked Le Palmiste rather than the numerous 5 star hotels with sometimes impersonal service that comes with such places. We were not disappointed. Stayed for 2 weeks. Despite the weather trying to spoil things for us with very little blue sky and sun during the first 5 days and non stop rain for 2 of those days we enjoyed the hotel a lot. Staff in general were brilliant. One bar person seemed to blank you but we avoided him. Pool staff. Restaurant staff and room cleaners for us were super. Our room was ground floor walking straight out onto the pool next to the bar. Perfect location for us. Food was plentiful and varied although some of the dishes on offer seemed strange to our palate such as massive tubs of mashed potato for breakfast. But I’ve no doubt this keeps some guests happy. There was lots of activity around the hotel to maintain the property but non of it was intrusive. Massages in the Spa were reasonably priced and the therapists were top class. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see as much of the island as planned. The shocking early weather resulted in both our trips being cancelled so apart from around the hotel we didn’t get around the island The beach nearby was a little disappointing for us as it looked more like a boat park with resulting diesel fuel smells. However the beach along the coast at Mon choisy gives the tropical island look we expected of Mauritius and worth a walk /bus A mention for Didier who organises events on Fridays and Saturdays and brings colour to both evenings with his disco and Sega dancing evening. He was a character and good to have around the hotel. The issue we had with Mauritius was not the hotel or people. But the airport arrivals. After what turned out to be 23 hours of travel. The last thing you need is a scrap to fill in 2 identical forms which we or the majority of others on our plane we’re not aware of Then standing for almost 2 hours to get thru the passport booths. As the first image of Mauritius an island which depends 60 to 70% on tourism it was not favourable. Everyone we spoke to. Uk and French had the same experience. So be prepared or be lucky and be the only plane to land

Greetings from Le Palmiste Resort & Spa Choosing our venue for your holidays requires attention and we are very grateful that you have chosen Le Palmiste Resort & Spa. We would like also to thank you for taking the time to write your experience for your stay with us. Thank you for your appreciation on our resort our services, our team member skills and the spot around Concerning the comment on the beach unfortunately since it is a public one we have to control on whatever people put there but we just went there and there is no boat neither smell of fuel, may be you went to the beach a time where someone was "parking" their boat . Concerning the attitude of the Bar Man, we have no record that you reported same to us while in house however the the bar manager was informed ! And we are sorry about what you face at the airport however for security and immigration purpose , all procedures has to be respected ! My heart is full of joy reading that you have cherished the moments among us We are pleased to have a Team giving their best each day to make the difference. It was a real pleasure to have been at your service and to have shared our Hospitality with you. We await your return very soon for other moments of sterling cheerfulness and blessings. Me and my husband stayed here for 10 nights for our honeymoon, we had a lovely time here. We cannot praise the staff enough for what they've done during our stay. We love the location of this hotel, supermarket is very nearby, we had all inclusive stay, but if you don't there are many choices of restaurant for you to choose. Beach is accessible in walking distance, there are posy office nearby if you want to send any postcards, souvenir shops, and little shops who sell coconuts drinks, pineapple, etc. You can also go to Pamplemousse, Port Louis, and Grand Baie by bus, very cheap, and you can access bus stops in the walking distance. And ATM too. Food buffet were good, they don't have a lot of choices, but sometimes it's a good thing, food taste so good, and fresh. Staff in the restaurant are good and efficient, chef were very pleasant. Bar staff are good and friendly, cocktails good. Rooms is cleaned everyday, smell fresh. Quite spacious, AC worked very well, bed and pillow very comfortable. The reception staff are very helpful, amazing compliment to them, they suggested some excusions for us, which ended up as great choices, they very helpful when they had to cancel the excursion due to weather and managed to reschedule us for next one and ensuring it's all done very smoothly despite. The manager very friendly and helpful, We can see that he wanted to ensure we had the best time in Mauritius and we did! Swimming pools are kept clean in the morning, with a friendly staff, they are nicely located so it will be accessible from you rooms. They have few entertained, Sega dance were amazing, Kareoke too, to be honest we always had early bed due to busy days. But we can hear the entertainment going on. Overall our stay were amazing, we love the hotel, we love Mauritius, great friendly professional staff. So thank you so much for making our honeymoon memorable. All the best

I have had the pleasure and fortune of staying in many hotels around the world, and regardless of the 3 star rating, this is right up there with the best of them! My wife and I loved it! To start with, the reception staff were very helpful and welcoming and could not do enough to help us. The Manager who is generally always on site, is very helpful and wants you to enjoy the stay. The room was clean and spacious and the food was excellent. The pool areas were also spotless. Evening entertainment was brilliant. Rooms and the hotel were kept spotlessly clean and all the staff we interacted with were brilliant . A beautiful beach is just a 2 minute walk away. It’s simply stunning! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We loved it and I would strongly recommend it to everyone. When we come back, I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again.

We stayed at the sister property Residence Potosi but also spent time at this property utilising the restaurant, bar and pool area on occasions. We also booked a couple of day trips from the hotel reception in return for their nice gesture. Contrary to what is suggested in a previous review we found the staff to be perfect on every level, especially on reception and the manager who was always in attendance and gave us great advice, helping with our bookings etc. A jolly person with good communication skills. The pool area was beautifully kept and all members of staff seemed fine. It's very noticeable the amount of staff they seem to have at this hotel and the managers/ supervisors seem to always be in the vicinity and available, a lot of other hotels could learn from that. The cleaners also service both properties and did a great job of our apartment, really pleasant people to talk to..if you make the effort. A mention also for the security guards on the front gate, they are always alert, friendly and create a welcoming first impression. This is not a five star hotel but in my opinion it offers very good value for money and we enjoyed our visits. The swimming pools are very nice.

This is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. Other than the pool cleaner, all staffs are rude, ignorant and dismissive. Food is awful, same thing served for breakfast and dinner. All plates are chipped.

Please be extra careful if staying here that your food is cooked. My experience was being served raw chicken soaked in blood. When reported to the female head chef she apologised several times and begged me not to do a trip advisor review because she would loose her job. All now denied by the hotel. The room was good and well maintained and the bar service was good. Reception personnel need extra training in customer care because of mixed up information given to guests and fall outs between Management and guests been overheard by other guests.
